⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brilliant all-rounder laptop — Lightweight, powerful, and ready for anything
I recently got the 2025 13-inch MacBook Air with the M4 chip, and it has easily become my go-to machine — whether I’m writing essays, editing photos, coding, or watching films, it handles everything beautifully. 🚀 Performance & Smoothness The new M4 chip is impressively fast and efficient: apps open instantly, multitasking feels seamless, and even heavier workloads (video editing, photo edits, multiple tabs + dev tools) run smoothly without noticeable lag. The unified memory and upgraded graphics make a big difference compared with previous generations. 💻 Display & Media Quality The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display is sharp and color-rich (P3 wide gamut, “billion-colour” support), which makes it excellent for creative work — painting up digital layouts for your scenography course, reviewing art history slides, or just watching movies. The brightness and color accuracy really stand out. 📚 Portability & Design It remains extremely slim and lightweight (about 1.24 kg) — perfect for carrying between home, uni, libraries, coffee shops, or studios. The build quality is top-tier: sleek aluminium body, clean minimal design, and a pleasant “professional but light” feel. 🔋 Battery Life & Everyday Use Battery easily lasts all day — you won’t have to worry about sockets if you’re moving around campus or libraries. It also wakes fast, resumes instantly — nice for quick tasks between classes or on-the-go work. 😊 Extras & Everyday Convenience • New built-in webcam (12 MP, Center Stage) and good mic / speakers make video calls, online classes, and remote meetings very pleasant. • Solid compatibility with macOS and creative tools/office software — ideal for your mix of art, scenography, thesis writing, coding and design work. ⚠️ Minor Considerations • Like all “all-in-one” thin laptops, under very heavy load or long video editing/export sessions, performance may not match that of a full-blown desktop workstation (though for most student / creative workflows it’s more than enough). • Storage on base-model (e.g. 256 GB or 512 GB SSD) can fill up fast if you handle many large art files, video resources, or heavy project folders — so you might want to consider configuration with larger storage if you deal with big media. 🎯 Verdict: For a student like you — involved in scenography, art-history studying, creative projects, coding and occasional travel — this 2025 MacBook Air 13″ hits a near-perfect balance. It’s portable and light for daily carry, powerful enough for design work and coding, with a great display for visual tasks, and reliability for years to come. Highly recommended if you want one laptop that covers almost everything.

Best laptop on the market, wish I'd bought sooner
This is a fantastic laptop and for the price is a bargain. Battery life is incredible, very thin and light with good build quality, and the screen is great quality as you would expect with Apple Products. The M4 chip has run cool so far and has handled everything quickly. Having used MacBook Pro's for work, the screen on the Pro variants has 120hz so seem smoother and the brightness is more, but not worth the extra £500+. The benefit of the Air variant is how slim and light it and is definitely noticeable and for my use cases I prefer that over the heaviness of the Pro models. The Sky Blue colour is really nice, depending on the light it comes across as silver, but the subtle blue is great for someone like me who doesn't like standout colours. If you are looking for the best all round laptop on the market, and you are invested in the Apple ecosystem with iPhone, iPad etc I cannot recommend this enough. If anything wish I had bought it sooner.

It’s an all rounder for sure.
It’s perfect for students. Super light and easy to carry around. The M4 chip is really powerful and efficient, it can handle whatever you throw at it. Ports are limited but a simple usb c dongle will fix the issue. At home I plug it into my monitor and use it as a desktop no issues. Battery lasts all day and the speakers are excellent for the laptop’s size. The display is great with brilliant colours and it gets bright. It only supports 60hz but it’s not a issue for me as I connect it to a monitor.

The best value premium laptop available
This replaced an older style MacBook M1 Air which was given to our daughter-in-law for her nursing course. In daily use, there's not a massive difference between them except in feel and style; the screen is brighter and a little sharper, too. Everything about a MacBook is superb in look, feel and use. My cousin just bought a £750 Windows laptop - put beside this Mac, that one seems so cheap and plasticky in comparison. Apple are a bit pricier but for style, manufacturing and durability cannot be matched. Lift the lid on this one and it opens smoothly - as it should; do that on the Windows laptop, and the whole device lifts up, not just the lid, needing two hands just to open it. The new Air shape really is, surprisingly, a whole lot slimmer, lighter and more modern looking, even though the differences are of course not that great at all. This is simply a brilliant laptop.

Blazing fast and incredible battery life
Fantastic little laptop. Really powerful especially when you consider how light and thin it is. The speakers are really loud and clear, doesn't get blisteringly hot like some other laptops do ever though there's no cooling fan. Setup was a breeze and I really appreciate the fingerprint scanner. Still getting used to the OS but I've had no major issues, just a bit of a learning curve with installing different apps. Really fast and responsive. Build quality is fantastic. Battery life is incredible. If I believed in magic, I'd call it witchcraft, I'll settle for incredible engineering.

Best laptop I have ever owned
Needed a new laptop, and after decades of various brands, decided to go with a Appe MacBook. I am far from the world's most computer savvy person, but even I was shocked with how fast and simple this was to set up. Was a little bit smaller than I expected, but that is maybe a good thing as its nice and compact so can be stored away. Battery life is amazing, as I was expecting something like a Iphone or Ipad where it would need charged on a hourly basis, and yet gone a full week without needing charge it. Some great security features and the connection to wifi is really good (even off my mobile hot-spot you still get a fantastic connection). Really impressed and can highly recommend.

Amazing, must be witchcraft
Slim, powerful and very well built. This is my first macbook an from someone who has always been a Windows fan boy I hate to say but this thing is amazing. From the moment you unbox it you just feel like you have something special. It was surprisingly heavy for being so slim . Passed the one finger open test and just turned on when I opened the lid. Set up was a shock. I had my ipad next to me and it asked if I wanted to set up using the ipad. Confused I hit yes and then like magic it was set up. It wasn't even connected to WiFi yet but with a press on the ipad the laptop was connected, passwords ported over and ready to go. Coming from the painful set up on windows this was like witchcraft. The display is just stunning. Crisp and the colours are incredible. Then the speakers. How can they fit that sound into something so slim? Oh and the laptop is totally silent. I'm used to a jet engine on any laptop after a few mins. It's taking a while to get used to the differences in os but for what I'm using it for (djing) it's been quite intuitive. And the battery can get me through a full 6 hour set with loads to spare. I've resisted the apple ecosystem for so long but things like this are very corrupting.

Good, but not for games and a bit pricey
Great bit of kit, does what it says. BUT do not buy this for gaming, the processors are not designed for games. A high price, but it's Apple, so it's bound to be over-priced in my opinion. But if you-re into a great bit of kit, very slim and lightweight for everyday tasks and you're an Apple person, it's good.
