Great all-in-one solution
I have 2 or 3 ENO brand hammocks that I use when the family goes camping. Since they are strictly hammocks, I would use them just for relaxing throughout the day; never used them for sleeping in overnight (I always used a tent for this purpose). I’ve always wanted to tryout sleeping in hammocks but I’ve always been bothered by bugs attacking me overnight. This system incorporates a nice all-in-one solution. It is all three parts that I need to sleeping in the southern US (hammock, tarp, bug net). This has simplified setup and makes it quite easy. Here are some thoughts after using it a bit:Hammock – This is a pretty heavy duty hammock. Im 6’5 and about 270lbs and it holds me just fine. The fabric is soft when compared to my other hammocks and it holds up to my size/weight.Tarp – This tarp is easily connected to the rig. The tension is tight and it sheds rain water quickly. I like how I can also disconnect the tarp in the event that I want to use it separately.Bug Screen – I like how the bug screen is easily zippered to the hammock. This is more organized than some hodgepodge method of hanging a net above a hammock.Climate control – this kit did not come with the under quill (insulating blanket that hangs under the hammock to retain heat). It has the clips to attach one if needed. I like how the hammock is dual layered so it allowed me to add a 3rd party inflatable sleeping pad between the layers. This helped to retain some heat and it also adds some additional softness and a layer to keep bugs from biting as bad from the bottom.
