I bought this charger for my Acer Nitro 5 AN515-55 gaming laptop that I use(d) for streaming. For some reason my old charger had stopped being able to charge my laptop, so I was unsure if it was the battery itself or the charger. Happy to say that this charger works perfectly! And is charging my laptop. (So, now I can return the battery I purchased in case it wasn’t the charger that was the problem.) Thank you!

Works perfectly, bought as a replacement for my son off at college who messed his up. Quality seemed good, charges as fast as original fit perfectly no wobble once plugged in. Great price for a replacement.

I couldn't find an official replacement charger for my laptop, so I bought this. This product had the least amount of reviews reporting that the charger would stop charging when the laptop got too hot, so I went with it. The charger stops charging when the laptop gets too hot. And yeah, of course it does. They're supposed to. But the original charger could handle a lot more. Still, I found that simply making sure all laptop vents were clear for proper air flow was enough to make sure it wouldn't overheat (crazy! You're saying doing something that I should be doing anyway helped performance???) On occasion, if I'm playing a particularly demanding game, it will still stop charging, but unplugging it for a few minutes and plugging it back in usually solves the issue.

It works correctly.

The insulation on the pin comes up too far and makes the pin too shallow to engage and actually charge the laptop. I trimmed it away with a razor blade and it stays at my dock. Made it ugly, but functional. Everything else is just fine. I took a star off for the fact that it doesn't actually fit the Acer Nitro 5 laptop out of the box.

My acter Nitro 5 charger finally bit the dust after having it for 7 years and I needed a quick reolacement. This works perfectly and the battery doesn't get nearly as hot as the original. Im happy with the product and hoping it'll last for a few years

EDIT 2023. For a while it worked just fine, but it doesn't charge anything anymore. It has ceased to work, the original charger still works fine and that is more often in use than this was. And since I didn't mention it originally. I have the AN515-54 Original Review: At least so far I don't think so, I haven't tested it under heavy gaming use, maybe it will work worse than the official charger that came with the laptop? It's always kind of scary buying these sorts of items, unless you know what you're doing with electronics you wont recognize a scam until it's too late. So far I'm happy tho. But I'm still very annoyed how there isn't really any official chargers being sold in a way that is easy to get, at least not here where I live. I'm in Finland, so I just had to buy the appropriate cable for the wall, since the style it came with wouldn't really work here.

Me salvó de comprar otra computadora, el cable que venía con mi laptop no daba la potencia que requería mi laptop y se desconectaba constantemente, era un verdadero dolor de cabeza. Este cable a pesar de ser genérico dió la potencia necesaria y a un precio muy bueno, me resolvió el problema y se ve y siente de un material muy duradero
