no the readout does not like cold weather, I wont fault it for that. on this one the scale continuously reads/measures! you do not have to be in a hurry to get your load lifted. if you forget to turn the scale on before applying weight, simply fully load your weight, hit tare (zeros the scale) and unload your weight - it will calculate the offload! I got just as accurate measurements with this latter scenario as I did when making use of the scale traditionally. It was within less than a pound difference in readout versus a professional slaughterhouse's scale. This scale works as (or better than) expected whereas most all the other cost-effective scales do not seem to.

I wish that I could give a proper review but I can’t because it didn’t come with batteries. Product information says that it doesn’t come with screwdriver but doesn’t mention batteries. It uses 2 AAA batteries so be prepared.Now I’ve used the scale. It’s awesome. Now they just need to ship it with batteries!

We had a bracket welded to fit our JD gator hitch and it goes out about 2' and up about 4.5'. We had a hole drilled in so we could hook this scale to it and weigh calves. We purchased a sling from valleyvet to hang the calves from. It works perfectly. This little gagdet is amazing for what we are using it for. We can go out to the field and weigh newborn calves so easily with this scale. It is accurate and easy to remove and store inside. WE LOVE IT!

This is a great little scale, however, it won't last in a moist environment. We used it to weigh milk replacer for our calves. In the winter, the mixing room is closed up and it gets moist in there from cleaning buckets and bottles. Even though the scale never was directly sprayed with water, the condensation took its toll on the electronic element. I dried it out, but it won't work. I'm going to have to buy a mechanical scale instead. Too bad I wasted $36 on this scale.

very solid construction seems well madeheavy duty attachments - would have liked 2 "S" hooks instaed of the u bolt but that's just my personal usage.would definitely recommend

The scale came in a timely manner, when it arrived, it looked and worked just as the description explained. So far, have had no issues with the product. Would order again.
