Exceeded Expectations
I hate cleaning windows. And no matter how much I try, I never do a great job (probably because I don't want to do it in the first place.) So, when Ecovacs released their first Winbot, I was intrigued, but it was too expensive and too big.Fast forward to last week when I saw that the Winbot Mini was available and was under $200. I had to try it. It arrived yesterday, and I put it to work on our sliding patio door. Setup was simple. I let the internal battery charge (keeps the unit on the window in case the power disconnects), added the cleaning fluid, and prepped the cleaning pad. I used the thorough clean option (one of three), and within a few minutes I had a clean inside door, and shortly thereafter a clean outside door. The result? Wow! I was amazed at how good a job it did. The door looked great, and even though it had been ages since it was last cleaned, I only needed a single pass with the Winbot Mini. After that, I had to do all the rest of the windows. The Winbot was able to tackle them all including our front storm door. The only windows it can't do are the narrow windows on either side of our front door. We do have a couple windows, where the robot announced that it detected narrow windows, but it adjusted its pattern and still did a great job.I did notice a few spots one two windows where it left a small streak, but a quick wipe with a microfiber cloth and it was perfect. If anything intrudes on the window area, like the door handle on our storm door, the Winbot will leave a small area on the edge that it can't get to, but that's not its fault. The suction is impressive. At no time did the Winbot ever come off the glass, and while it's not quiet by any means, it isn't overly loud either. The unit will let you know when it's time to wash the cleaning pad and the sensors at the corners. I missed seeing the second cleaning pad in the box, so had I realized I had another pad, things would have gone faster because I had to keep cleaning and rewetting the pad as I went along. I'm going to buy some more pads so that when I do a cleaning session, I can have clean pads ready to go and just wash them all at the end.My wife was skeptical when I told her what I had ordered, but she was impressed by the results. And the great thing is that if a window needs cleaning, I can give it a quick clean now without having to wait until the next time we have window cleaners in.

Easy, smudge-free and streak-free clean
Bought this in 2025 and have used it last fall and this summer. Very pleased with its performance. No streaks, instructions are easy to understand, and the machine is easy to use. Yes, this came with 2 pads and you have to clean them frequently, but they are very easy to clean and replace. I haven’t had to purchase additional pads. I’m not sure if the cleaning solution is just water or if it has a tiny amount of surfactant in it. When I use up all the solution then I’m going to try just using some water filtered through our reverse osmosis filter. If I start having issues, then I’ll come back and order some more cleaner for the robot on Amazon.

Surprisingly good window cleaner
Works very well. Fun to watch, doesn't fall off the window, gives a good wipe. Not a scrub of course but does a decent cleaning. I did experience a crash of the software which was difficult to fix. Pays for itself after a single use if you consider the cost of professional window cleaners. If you have a lot of windows to clean, it's a good idea to buy a pack of off-label replacement mop pads, otherwise you're constantly washing the two that come with the unit. Also, you'll need additional cleaning solution.

Defect with the solution sprayers, they don't dispense.
What an incredible disappointment. Got this, set it up and poured in the included cleaning solution, moistened the mop pad, all as instructed in the guide. Set it to do a detailed clean on my glass shower door, which would be a good test in a controlled environment where I could get to know it and make sure I understand how to use it.Noticed that only the moistened pad was cleaning the surface, no extra sprays of solution were coming out of the front or back sprayers. Used their app to troubleshoot and the advice was to clean them with a q-tip (which I did, but being brand new out of the box, how dirty could they be?) and in the end the only way to get the winbot to dispense their mist of cleaning fluid was to press the virtual buttons for front mist and back mist manually as it cleaned. It never regularly dispensed the cleaning fluid on its own. They said that when the spray jets are pointed UP the mopvac won't spray fluid out of them, which I guess in some way makes sense, but the fluid failed to come out automatically when it was going side-to-side.So it's going back... Seems like such a basic thing to get wrong. The wet pad will only get you so far in cleaning your glass before it dries out and it just scraping a dried out mop across your filthy glass.Major fail.

A must have for long and tall windows and doors
This Winbot is definitely a must have if you long and tall windows and doors. It's compact, easy to set up, and cleans my windows surprisingly well. The noise level is lower than I expected, it stays securely attached to the glass, and the app connectivity has been reliable. The build quality feels solid, and the safety features give me confidence while it's cleaning. Battery backup is more than enough to safely finish or recover if power is interrupted. Overall, it saves me a lot of time and keeps my windows looking spotless.

Cleans adequately.
It's amazing how well it attaches to the glass and seems to do well at getting into the edges and cleaning evenly. However the cleaning is mediocre, it leaves a square mark that can be seen depending on the angle of the light or if the window gets condensation. You can only use the proprietary cleaning solution, they say any other window cleaning solution can damage the machine. It also goes through it pretty quickly. I've read that you could spray cleaner on the window before you attach the robot and I may try that. The machine is quite noisy, and it's very annoying that every time it starts cleaning it gives you a "friendly reminder" of what the various cleaning modes are for. This can't be turned off, you can turn the volume to zero but that also turns down the confirmation that it's properly attached or thet it's finished. I asked support if there was a fix for this and there isn't. My windows are not very large so it completes them quite quickly and I have to hear the same message on every window. As far as I can tell It doesn't monitor if it needs to be cleaned, it just reminds you regularly to rinse the cloth and corners.Overall it's easier than climbing ladders and carrying buckets of water and it may long term be cheaper than hiring pro's, but it feels like an early attempt at a window cleaning robot that will probably improve a lot in the next few years.

Update to 5 stars
I no longer have to get on a ladder. And/or our big sunroom window goes uncleaned. That along with the fact that it actually does a fairly good (support call in process) job of cleaning the windows makes it totally worth the price. Also, choosing the mini form-factor was definitely the right choice for us as we have a wide variety of windows; from small-normal to the larger sunroom window mentioned above. This thing does them all.Note: support call has to do with the atomizer nozzles appearing to be slightly misaligned. Near as I can tell, only about 50% of the OEM liquid actually hits the glass. This is true whether inside our outside (where, given that the liquid is atomized rather than sprayed, some amount of “blow away” would be expected). Review will be revisited when the issue above is resolved as I’d actually like to give five stars given the no-ladder thing. That alone is huge!Edit/update: upgraded to 5 stars based on customer-support response. Though there was some initial resistance clearly based on an assumption on the CSR’s part that I lacked understanding of why and how atomization works (I do not), I was sent a replacement Mini 2 unit While still some atomized spray (understandably) drifts away, much more of it now actually hits the glass and it seems totally adequate for the job.More about the user experience: I continue to be very happy with this purchase, particularly in the context of cleaning big windows that previously required getting on, and reaching from, a ladder! Does it do an absolutely perfect job? Well, for a few minutes in the evening when the sun hits it just right, I can sometimes see a bit of “evidence” of where the window had been cleaned by this bot. That said, I attribute this to not rinsing the pad enough when initially cleaning the outside of my windows for the first time in a long time. Of course, that “evidence” and “for a few minutes” would no doubt have happened anyway, whether I did the cleaning our someone was hired to do it. Plus, robots are cool.

Surprisingly good window washer!
I bought this to clean some large outdoor windows on the side of my house and am surprised at how well it cleans. This does not work for sectioned/paned windows, only windows without individual small window panes. I wish there was a way to clean windows with panes, but I know that is not what it is intended for, so I'll be looking to upgrade when a new version comes out!SETUPSimple setup with minimal effort - plug it in, fill it up with cleaning solution, and add the mopping pad and it's good to go!CLEANINGI still don't understand how this suctions to the window, but it hangs on tight and doesn't let go! It has normal, deep cleaning, and edge cleaning modes. I typically use the deep cleaning for outdoor windows which uses more solution and requires filling up more often, but not too bad and worth the clean. It cleans relatively quickly and doesn't take long at all to clean. One thing to note is that when finished cleaning it will continue running to hold on to the window. So you need to generally pay attention and end the cleaning. You have to hold down the button to remove it from the window and the robot will announce it is about to detach to warn you. It should stay plugged in but there is a small backup battery just in case it comes unplugged while moving along and cleaning. That definitely gave me some peace of mind knowing it wouldn't immediately fall if the cord got caught.APPUnlike other Ecovacs products it requires a Bluetooth connection to use the app, which kind of makes sense since it doesn't have a dock like a vacuum. The functionality is more limited but it does everything it needs to - primarily picking between normal, deep cleaning, and edge cleaning modes.Overall it does a great job for what is meant for, is easy to use, and easy to set up.
