Earthborn Elements Borax Powder (1 Gallon), Multipurpose Cleaner & Detergent Booster, Resealable Bucket (144 Ounce)

We've been switching out harsh laundry chemicals and perfumes with natural alternatives like this borax with lavender. It smells amazing and replaces the chemical scented crystals you sprinkle into your laundry and boosts the cleaning power of any laundry detergent. We either use it in a homemade detergent formula or pair it with a clear and free store bought detergent. We live in Florida, where the water is particularly hard, and borax has made a noticeable difference in the cleanliness and freshness of our clothes. It's a little pricey, but totally worth it, and it comes in a convenient and resuable little bucket.

I have used this for when I do art with Pheasants. I have used it mostly in wings and it does a great job! It was super easy to use though doesn’t come with its own scoop. This has been very helpful in ensuring no fat/left over meat rots and it dries up. There is also a lot in there for how much it costs so score there! I have used this on quite a few wings and have barely left a dent.

If you haven't used Borax before and you have: dingy used-to-be white clothing, stuck-on greasy cookware and cooktops, and kitchen floors that have worked-in grime, try borax. It is truly amazing. My only complaint is you do have to dissolve fully in very hot (boiling) water, otherwise it will dry in a big hard lump. I use it thusly: a scoopfull in white and towels laundry. It keeps it smelling fresh and brightens whites dissolve in hot water and use it to clean tile/grout and linoleum floors (I use a brush to work it in) work it into a paste with hot water to scrub oven doors, cooktops, and pans sprinkle in doorways, crevices, and windowsills as an insect repellant I like to have a bucket ready at all times. It is truly multi-purpose. Make sure to use gloves, it can be irritating to skin.

I use 2 scoops with my laundry detergent. With embedded, hard to clean laundry I also pour in Shout or Spray n Wash, then let it all soak for 30 minutes. Clean laundry is what you get. It whitens, clothes smell clean, disinfects, softens hard water, nice scent Good stuff.

the old ways still work! I returned to an old laundry standby, borax, when hoarding left me without bleach. I was so pleased to find that it worked as well as bleach on the pet laundry to remove stains and smells and I read that the borax also provides some sanitizing action. A load washed in borax and dried on regular heat is likely to come out just as sanitary and definitely as white and bright as a load washed with bleach. The borax does a nice job in the kitchen and bathrooms - I've substituted my normal bleaching products with borax to clean sinks, tubs, toilets with excellent results. And the borax is not as caustic to skin if you get it on you and is gentler on fabrics as well. I am so happy with this change, I will continue to use the borax even when I can find bleach again. This particular brand of borax works well and I have no complaints about the product. However, I took off a star because the difficulty in getting the lid off the pail is ridiculous. I think it is absurd that you need a special tool just to open a package. I didn't have the tool and had to pry the lid off with a screwdriver which destroyed the lid. There has to be a better way. I'm not sure I will buy this brand again just because that was an unpleasant experience.

Love this product line. I've bought many of their products. This one didn't disappoint either. 9 lb comes in an approximate 1 gallon sturdy plastic pail. The lid seals well but also as easy enough to remove. Strong handle makes bucket great for reusing. I use this to make homemade laundry soap as a booster. It works great and also helps remove the smell
