Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse -The Art of the Movie

Wonderful inside look at the art and animation of this great movie. It's a favorite around our house, and having the book to complement is is the best!

Great book, big size, beautiful concept art.

I split my review into three paragraphs. Each about: the movie, the art book’s contents, and shipment and delivery. If you have yet to see Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, I strongly recommend seeing the movie before purchasing the art book. It was the best animated movie of 2018 (as it was nominated for and won the Oscar for that category). And in my opinion, it is by far the greatest animated movie I have ever seen in my life. It is hands down my favorite. To those who say it seems childish are foolish to think so as it is not aimed at any particular age. Anyone of any age can watch this and enjoy the movie thoroughly. To those who say it’s overrated are wrong as it is one of the least grossing marvel movies (all inclusive) that have come out with the past few years. Everyone needs to see this movie. To my title of this review, too many animated movies today are so focused on making the animations more realistic. Spiderverse was an excellent change of pace for this genre. Regarding this product specifically. I was not disappointed. I’m no artist but this was a purchase I could not refuse. I’ve only skimmed through the book and haven’t completely read and seen everything word-for-word and picture-by-picture, but I’ve enjoyed it nonetheless. The concept artwork of the characters, scenes, atmosphere, is just breathtaking. I felt like I was watching a behind the scenes of the movie. The only “complaint” I have about the art book is that it did NOT have a dedicated section to the final, final battle of the movie. It has some pictures and concept art of the final battle scenes, but nothing more than that. It was unfortunate it didn’t have it’s own, dedicated section. Outside of that, nothing was damaged externally or internally of the book. There was no warping from of the pages or cover shipping for my copy. I ordered this all the way back in December and it just arrived on March 30th, 2019. While it was frustrating to wait THIS LONG to finally get my hands on this artbook, giving this product a 1-star rating is discourteous, as some other reviewers have done so. My order was a PRE-ORDER, and I knew that the product will take a significant amount of time to be shipped and delivered. Especially since I ordered it in December of 2018... the month the movie was premiered. The book at that time was still being finalized and completing its publication process. Unless you pre-ordered, I personally wouldn’t use reviews whom have pre-ordered this product (including mine) as a way to reflect your decision on ordering this item. That only is if time is a concern. Otherwise, if you’re interested in purchasing, the product does NOT disappoint. It is phenomenal and highly recommend this art book. Hopefully you consider it!

If you are a fan of this amazing movie this is a must. The concept art and designs are superb and I love flipping this open and just looking in awe

In perfect condition. In fact it even had the plastic wrapping around it. My daughter really loves these art books. It's definitely a unique style. But good coloring. Good binding. It is hardcover. Has some weight to it.

Absolutely fantastic book. I purchased this back in December as soon as I got home from watching this in theater, and I rarely write reviews but I reread the book again today and thought I should leave a review. My photos do the book no justice- The colors in print are vibrant and engaging, the text walks the reader through the process of creating the characters and their designs, the storyboards are fantastic to look through and relive the movie through visuals. This is a book that I'd easily drop $50+ on considering its quality, though luckily it's only $25 ($22 as I write this review). Each and every frame in the movie can be paused to look like a digital painting, and I just wanted to buy the book so I could admire specific frames and the process of creating it for as long as I wanted. I love flipping through this book when I'm feeling uninspired since I also paint digitally too. Absolutely fantastic book, would recommend it to everyone, regardless of whether you draw, are into movies and art, or just enjoyed Into the Spiderverse.

Wow just wow ,exactly just how i expected, came early, it's very big book ( bigger than the second book ) it came sealed and have a cover sleeve ( idk what's it called) it's full of beautiful stunning concept art and colors and sketches and designs and descriptions and EVERYTHING. Too bad it doesn't have a page for my favorite scene when miles believed in himself and jumped from the building. A MUST BUY FOR EVERY ARTIST OUT THERE.

Edição linda, perfeita, etc. Minha única reclamação é em relação a entrega da Amazon. Só colocaram a etiqueta no plástico do próprio livro e no dia da entrega estava chovendo, o que danificou a sobre-capa e deixou algumas páginas onduladas.

The book was larger than what I expected it to be. The illustrations are so beautiful and the paper quality is top notch. Looking forward to by the next ‘Across the spiderverse’ edition.
