Viva Doria Brazilian Pink Peppercorns, Steam Sterilized Whole Pink Pepper, 8 Oz

The most divine pepper I've ever tasted! Peppery and slightly sweet, unique flavor. It grinds on the soft sticky side so have a high quality grinder shaker with a cleaning brush. I have put it in mac&chz, grilled chicken breast, roasted veggies, scrambled eggs, etc. You'll love it. And this is a big jar too, great price, fresh pepper corn.

If you haven’t tried red pepper, and even if you have, this pepper is fantastic! Nice and soft, easy to grind and tastes delicious! Red Pepper, Which is actually a berry, has a slightly different taste than black pepper. It imparts a tangy, unique flavor to your dishes. This pepper is very good value for the money and I would definitely recommend!

Tends to mash. Huge jar. I am allergic to regular pepper, and this is ideal. Great flavor. If you are processing with blender or food processor, you can throw right in. Used in a microplane type grinder and it ground nicely at first, but then began to mash after using and sitting in the grinder for a few days. Seller does not recommend using a regular pepper grinder.

The peppercorns are too soft to use in a traditional grinder, I had to buy a mortar and pestle. Lots of moisture in the peppercorns. The flavor is great though

Extra spicy

I’d like to start by saying where have you been all my life!!!? This is the best flavor I’ve ever found in a pepper.. ok so it’s not actually pepper but a berry and there wet like berries so they don’t work well in grinders... so I take the cleaver and lay it on it’s side and smash and then chop and add to any of your favorite recipes to add a spice that no one will guess but all will come back for!!!

Used for Christmas deviled eggs to look like the three red Christmas berries. Brazillian Pink Peppercorns ARE actually dried berries, but with a peppery punch. Tasted fanstastic! HUGE container. I vacuum-packed the remainder in several seperate bags to use throughout the year.

I previously bought the Viva Doria multi coloured peppercorns but realized the red ones were not hard peppercorns and found they come from the Brazilian and Peruvian pepper tree and are actually a berry with pepper tones. It’s a soft red ball, the same size as black peppercorns. Not suitable for a pepper mill. I quite like the delicate flavour. I chop it up on a cutting board and use it as a finishing dressing. A quick toasting on a hot cast iron pan livens its aroma. Will try and alcohol infusion with it or steep it as a tea to see what I can use it for. I have also purchased white peppercorns to make custom ratios with other peppercorns. I use a lot of pepper in my culinary creations. Controlled application can make a difference in a great flavour profile. Since it comes from a tree nut plant, those with allergies should exercise caution. Very happy with this purchase.

Hubby is obsessed with different peppers - my fault for taking him to Kampot to see the pepper farms. This is an addition to the collection. Every one is slightly different. Grind over to season food. Good with fish and white meat.

good product as expected

Love the color and flavor of these pink beauties, and best of all, they sit well with my system as I the black ones don't agree with me on the way out. I used to buy pink peppercorns locally, but they have been nonexistent for months, so I finally decided to investigate further. I was stoked to find them. They are very fresh and the color and flavor is superb. Will definitely order more as I love them on pretty much everything as they have such a uniquely interesting flavor that is slightly sweet with a subtle bite.
