One bad apple may spoil the barrel
I’ve been using these for over six years and am on my second model. Up to today it’s been great. I’m writing this because two days ago I noticed the “ bad” water wasn’t dripping out as it’s supposed to, and today the water tastes horrible. That sounds normal— but I only installed it six weeks ago. It’s supposed to last for 100 gallons. Ok, I drink a lot of water I’m single and have no pets— no way do I use two gallons of water a day! Also these filters were unavailable for several months. Now that they are back, I noticed what another reviewer wrote: the individual filters aren’t wrapped, and the box is so thin it can barely bear the weight of the three. I’m unhappy today, but I’ll put in a new filter and see how long it lasts. If it disappoints again, I’ll buy a different brand.
