These are pretty good quality crossbars for the money. Now installed, they do whistle while driving. The installation instructions are missing a lot of much needed explanation. The holes for the car's bolts were too small so I had to drill them out larger. The worst part is the snap on covers .. once installed, these things won't snap on to save your life .. the rubber seals prevent them from clicking into place as does the fact that the mounts bend some in the process of tightening. I had to glue them in place and hold them tight with clamps until the glue held. Of course if they ever have to come off, those covers will have to be destroyed and I'm sure this company isn't the type to keep replacement parts on hand. I put OEM crossbars on my Toyota and that was an entirely different experience. I guess you get what you pay for. I do not recommend these.

I installed this on my 2009 CR-V with a sunroof. It was a little more of a hassle to install than I expected, in part because the instructions were minimal. Each attachment includes 3 pieces + Allen Nuts. You put down the rubber gasket, then the hard plastic piece, then thread that down over the bolts sticking up from the car. After this, a plastic cover is supposed to click over the whole piece. I showed a picture of this without the cover both because I wanted to show what it looks like and because that's what my car looks like right now. After my first drive, one of the covers popped off in the middle of the road. I went back and got it...but haven't gotten it back on. Instructions say to tighten until it just starts to get snug, then just a 90 degree turn. I may have overtightened them but the plastic covers are REALLY hard to fit on and get them to click into place. This one on the driver's side popped off; the others seem okay, but now I'm not confident they're really secure. I think I'd rather have a screw to ensure they stay on than these plastic tabs we're counting on right now. Maybe my car has just shifted with all the miles on it, but these mounts fit on a little different in each mounting point. On one of them, the bolts didn't seem to protrude up as much as others so I really had to press just to get the nuts to screw onto the bolts. I like that it uses the built-in mounting bolts. Unfortunately, those mounting points are really close together (front-to-back) on this car, so I'm worried about its ability to carry long items like my kayak. Over 60mph, they started to whistle, which was a little annoying (but may have to do with the missing cover). My brother wrapped a line of paracord around his whistling roof rack (different car/rack) to alleviate the whistle. I may have to do that if this persists. Overall, I think it looks sharp (with the covers on) and offers me greater flexibility for carrying supplies now that I have it.
