This perhaps wasn't the intended use, but I have an ugly electric panel behind my desk, and when I'm doing meetings with my company I want that to be hidden. I had the idea of buying a nice butcher block to cover it and originally selected a different product from another company, but the order was cancelled for some reason. These guys had the exact size I wanted in a variety of colors, a great value price (about half what I was originally going to pay for a different product). And best of all for my needs, this one was half the thickness of what I had originally planned. This turns out to be a great thing, for my needs. This is a fairly heavy item as is, so I am so glad I went with this thinner board. I do want to be able to easily move it should I need to access my electrical panel. The board arrived extremely well packaged. Outer box, inner papers, bubble wrap, and some other layer too. And I appreciated the extra effort they made to ensure the product was pristine when I got it. There was no warping or quality issues. In truth if I were building a full desk or kitchen counter, I would probably choose the thicker heavier alternatives. But if you want this thickness, it seems very substantial and well made. The color was very accurate to the web description and color. That is a little hard to see in my image as there are a bunch of artificial colored lights where I have it that may throw off the camera. So trust me, it looks as expected in real life. The wood seems real, solid, has character. I have not measured it, but it looks exactly as I was expecting for my needs. All in all, a great product, delivered with care, and packaged thoughtfully. Good value.

I took a shot between the low reviews, price, and rating. I am so happy it’s exactly what I was looking for. Just a butcher block top for my work box that was actual wood and not compressed fiber/board. It looks great as it is. It does specify to seal it once you remove the protective film so I would make sure you are ready for that prior to removing it. We experienced high humidity when I opened it and it looks like there’s some slight warping. Totally my fault. Once I trim it to size, stain and seal I don’t see this as a future ongoing problem. The board came very well packaged which I found helpful to protect the pretty detail of the wood. I highly recommend if you want a quality board at a reasonable price.

Absolutely beautiful . Very flat and well made. Covered in plastic weather shield, then covered in paper, then covered in bubble wrap, then packed in box surrounded by foam. Arrived in perfect condition.

Nice look. Not sure if I cracked it or it was already at the time of delivery but I used it anyway as a backsplash over my sink and put extra screws aside the crackon the end.

This was purchased to go over an existing folding tabletop that had worn through the veneer and was just otherwise unsuitable for my purpose. The slab arrived well packaged; it took a little while to remove all the carton and bubble wrap and other pads. When I set the slab down on the top, it was cupped (crowned) a bit along the long run of the slab. Since I was attaching it from underneath with screws all around the borders, this pulled the cup down into a flat piece and was not really an issue for me; however, if I had wanted to use this with legs/supports from underneath, it would have to have been reinforced or flattened in some way to use it in that manner. It is resistant to spills and stains, and cleans up easily. I have not applied any other stains/sealants/oils etc. to it as of now. And yes, it is wood, but it is a butcher-block configuration (many strips glued together and cut to size) and not SOLID wood. I probably wouldn't want this for a wet/damp location for that reason.

The table top, is pretty, but it arrived broken. Because we couldn't wait for a new one, so we chose to repair it ourselves.

Great quality! Solid wood. I purchased the 0.7” thickness in Walnut. The color variation is pretty even with some slight variation. The finish is a light gloss, more on the matte side. I tried to capture the color on camera as close to the real color. It’s a bit darker cocoa than once pictured. Exactly what I expected.

I wanted a desktop that wasn't to expensive, looks nice, and was solid wood and not chip or particle board. This fit the bill, solid, stable and perfect thickness to allow for peripherals.
