Love this tinted chapstick!

I started using this lip balm while taking Accutane to treat moderate acne, during which time almost all of my skin was dry and flaky, including my lips. The lip balms I already owned just weren't helping with the dryness and left my lips feeling sore, so I decided that I would completely change up my skincare routine to use natural, gentle and nourishing products. Given these constraints, Burt's Bees tinted lip balm seemed like the best choice, and I really loved the colors available. With my lips so dry, I certainly couldn't wear lipstick, so this seemed like a really tempting alternative. I was impressed from the first application; the texture of the balm is smooth and buttery, but it definitely doesn't feel greasy. Red Dahlia is a beautiful color, and I was surprised by how well the tint suited my skin tone. But most importantly, after a couple of weeks of use my lips stopped hurting, and even felt smooth again!! That was over two years ago, and I still use only this lip balm.

I am very, very happy with this lip balm. Here's why: --It's very moisturizing. My lips are incredibly prone to chapping, and I have found that a lot of balms just seem to make that worse. And I'll admit, I haven't been a huge fan of a lot of the Burt's Bees products that I've found. Well, this is my favorite lip balm that I've tried from Burt's Bees, and it does not dry my lips out. Rather, my lips stay nice and soft. Granted, this is not rich enough to be my only lip balm -- I use Aquafor at night. But for the daytime, this is great. -- I LOVE the color. I decided to go with Red Dahlia based on some other commenters' recommendations, and I am so happy with this shade. I am very pale / fair, and I like to wear lip color that is a deep, slightly dark red. This is amazing. I find it to be a very sophisticated shade. And it really helps, I think, that Burt's Bees uses natural coloring agents, so the color is "found in nature." Overall, I will keep buying this product. I keep it at my desk at work and apply it 2-3 times per day. It does come off on my coffee mug, but I don't mind! It's easy enough to just wipe it off the mug (it doesn't stain), and it's cheap enough to reapply a few times a day. Definitely recommend!

I love Burts Bees product. I thought I would try this product because lipstick is just to messy for my busy lifestyle and it's just much to worry about. I love dark red lips, I think it looks great on every skin tone but at the end of the day I would find it essentially smeared and smudged around my mouth and that's not cute. I like chapstick because it hydrates you lips and you don't have to worry about it too much. So when I was looking for lip stains this product came up, and I already own Burts Bees pomegranate chapstick (which is amazing). So I purchased this item and hoping for a tint enough to make my lips pop. Unfortunately I didn't get that. I have an Olive complexion and no tint. The balm itself smells great it hydrates amazingly I'm wearing it now I love it I mean it might replace my pomegranate chapstick BUT it did not tint my lips whatsoever and I wore it all day. That's why it got a 4 out of 5 great product but didn't do what was advertised.

I love the product for the feel and the moisture. As always just a hint of color but the red Dahlia is not red at all. It is brown. The color and the tube on Amazon looks exactly like what I would want but they both are actually brown in color. It’s so sheer that you barely notice it but there is no hint of red on my lips.

I ordered a pack of two lip balms and I only received one.

I purchased this in the hopes that it would be the original formula, and it is. The new one has no pigment at all. It is called Red Dahlia, there is no colour to it. Basically you are paying 8 bucks for colourless balm. I was so disappointed when I purchased at the store. Truly delighted that this (purchased from Amazon) is the formula I love, with the right pigment. Burt's Bees, I don't know what you're doing, but please go back to the original because I will not purchase the new formula again.

Couleur et parfum très subtils. Agréable à porter. Nourrissant sans être trop gras. C’est mon deuxième baume dans la marque Burst’s bees . J’ai acheté le même il y a quelques mois dans la teinte hibiscus qui a ma préférence, car plus chaude et plus visible sur mes lèvres que Red Dahlia. Ce sont de loin les meilleurs baumes colorés que j ‘ai pu acquérir ces dernières années, tant du point de vue de la composition que des couleurs proposées.
