Only bio foam will cause the organic matter blocking your drain to simply disappear while you sleep!
This product works perfectly for its stated purpose. There is nothing better for tub/shower drains, for example. It is so disheartening to read review after review of unhappy people who have purchased this product and are unhappy about its having failed... Consumers who don't bother to read the instructions, have no clue about the science of the products that they use, etc. Listen up, folks (anyone trainable), if you want to learn what this product is and how to use it. The foam generated by this product contains bacteria that eat/metabolize organic residue that builds up in tub and shower drains when humans bathe. This residue consists of hair, dead skin cells, oil from our skin (which mixes with the hair, dead skin cells, etc. and becomes grease-like, eventually causing the drain to run slow or to breed tiny "drain flys." If you are following this explanation, hopefully you can understand that you can't simply pump the foam into the drain and rinse it out in 15 minutes. The idea here is that the bacteria consume the organic material and then these single-cell creatures reproduce via binary fission (splitting) on a grand scale, each new generation splitting in 5-10 minutes. At the end of eight hours each bacterium originally in the foam will have produced ~20 million offspring. There will be so many bacteria working on the organic matter in the drain that it will be entirely consumed, leaving the drain clean as a whistle in eight ours. You may see a small amount of powdery substance in the drain, representing the cell walls of a billion bacterial cells which died after having done their duty of metabolysing the organic matter previously clogging your drain. Drain flys, if you had those, will be dead by the next day for the same reason. They too live off of the organic waste matter that falls from our bodies when we bathe. I sure hope that the science challenged liberal arts majors understand this little bit of science: Spray this product into the drain before going to bed for the night and give it eight hours to work on the project. As to the straw that comes standard with the product... Those who complained are correct. It is difficult to use and impossible to move the foam far enough down the drain to be assured of success. The straw is worthless; throw it away. You must order the hose accessory that snaps onto the top of the can after removing the valve release button from the top of the can: https://www.amazon.com/Invade-Hot-Spot-Extension-Actuator/dp/B015BSULKO/ref=pd_bxgy_d_sccl_1/137-7642690-7171041?pd_rd_w=Bjgs7&content-id=amzn1.sym.d6ac0d01-6230-4dde-a4f9-41c646a6c7b8&pf_rd_p=d6ac0d01-6230-4dde-a4f9-41c646a6c7b8&pf_rd_r=EC3X25367XENSFFSM09F&pd_rd_wg=Nnyaq&pd_rd_r=5c133aa0-dd80-40ea-bd35-47d3892b6b17&pd_rd_i=B015BSULKO&psc=1 Of course the latter is a one-time purchase that can be used on additional cans of Rockwell Labs Invade Hot Spot + Bio Foam drain cleaner indefinitely into the future. Don't skip the hose. (Jeez...) For any poor souls who are simply incapable of understanding or believing the explanations above, just go to a local big box hardware store and buy a bottle of hydrochloric or sulphuric acid or sodium hydroxide. Those extremely corrosive chemicals may ruin the finish on chrome drain trim, if any, or even damage the drain pipes themselves in the wall and foundation. On a good day they may even dissolve the organic matter obstructing the drain. Cheers!

Great Product to Help Get Rid of Gnats
I will try and keep this review short and hope that it helps you with your gnat problem. I came home from work one day, last September, and noticed a few gnats, but didn’t think too much about it. I had never had a problem with gnats, I never dreamed I would spend a year trying to get rid of them. I bought some window adhesive strips and put on the window in the bathroom, that is where I saw them. Within a week of that they were growing in numbers. I first tried bleach, then tried using baking soda, salt and vinegar for months, that didn’t really help. I wasn’t sure which drain they were coming from, be it the shower drain or sink drain or both. As time went on the gnat problem was growing. It’s now 5 months later and still have the problem. I called a plumber out, he said, Oh, you need to call a pest control company. I called a pest control company and he said use Vinegar, salt and baking soda. LOL I went back online and purchased a KATCHY Indoor Insect Trap: Bug, Fruit Fly, Gnat, Mosquito Killer - UV Light, Fan, Sticky Glue Boards Trap Even The Tiniest Flying Bugs - No Zapper. This worked great! Well, I thought it fixed the problem. But no, gnat problem didn’t go away, because I had not gotten to the root of the problem. It’s now 8 months later. I went online and read and read about gnats. What I was learning was that I need to get rid of the larvae in order to get rid of the gnats. I found Rockwell IBDC128 InVade Bio Drain Gel. This is a great product. It really cleaned the walls of the drain, but still didn’t get rid of the problem. Next product was InVade Hot Spot Bio Foam. This is basically the same product as mentioned earlier (Rockwell IBDC128 inVade Bio Drain Gel) but it’s in foam form. This is a great product, it allows you to turn the can almost upside down, to spray foam in your drain. Doesn’t take much, so it last longer. But, unfortunately that didn’t get rid of the gnats. So, went back online and searched again for something to help me with this problem. Next product I found was Gentrol Concentrate IGR Insect Growth Regulator 10x1oz ZOE1006B and Green Gobbler Fruit Fly Goodbye Gel Drain Treatment | Drain Fly Killer | Fruit Fly Killer | Drain Flies Treatment | Fruit Flies Treatment | Drain Fly & Fruit Fly Eliminator, FINALLY I found something that was getting to the larvae. That is what Gentrol Concentrate IGR Regulator does. It kills the larvae. It doesn’t kill the adult gnats though. You will still have to deal with the adults until the product has successfully killed all the larvae. This can take as much as 2 weeks and then a week or so of treating the problem to make sure it doesn’t come back. The key is to treat the larvae everyday. Thank goodness I found Gentrol and Green Gobbler. I mixed the Gentrol with the Green Gobbler in a 16 oz squeeze bottle. Use gloves when handling this. It took 1 month after I started using it. I can’t say enough about Green Gobbler and Gentrol Concentrate IGR Regulator along with the KATCHY machine. They have successfully gotten rid of the gnats. You may not have the problem as bad as I did, but I wish I could have had this information to help me figure out the fix for the gnats. Lots of luck!

Awesome stuff
Invade hot spot+ has never failed me over the years I have had to use this two times to help with drain flies and fruit flies. Each time I have made sure to clear the drains of as much hair and junk as possible before spraying the hot spot into the drain. Each time this has helped clear up the problem with 3-4 days😁 Don't forget to buy the long hose separately

Great product flawed design nozzle
This product works if used multiple times. The only reason I wouldn't buy it again is the straw does not stay in the nozzle and makes a mess everywhere. I refuse to buy an add-on attachment to make the product work. I'll continue to use it and struggle with it until it's gone, but it won't be a repeat purchase unless they improve the nozzle and straw.

Smell free
Hot Spot is the best product for keeping gnats at bay. I use it in all of my drains at night, and since then, gnats and flies have been nonexistent.

Poor design
The spray tube does not fit ar all. Comes out with every use. Also spray comes out the top of the can during use. Doesn't seem to be well designed.
