I tried it. It has a reputation for holding really well especially with thick kinky afro like mine so you only need a little bit. I wet my hair and mix leave in conditioner with a very small amount of "gorilla snot" (I hate the name) Product works grate. Day 2 no flaking. Saw a girl use it on youtube and her hair didnt look healthy. I think she uses it too often. This is why I mix it with leave in conditioner.

Well this Gell is so good it last for two to three days.. First time I tried it, was very interesting , I used way to much and forgot to wet my hands. My hair was so hard that I stabbed my cat and it bled to death (poor kitty is in heaven now) . Next I got in my truck and stabbed a hole in my headliner. But thats not all that happened. For lunch we all went out to eat and my hair was so hard and sharp I cut a hole in my friends Jeep soft top. It gets better because later that night a couple of guys tried to rob me and I stabbed and killed both of them with my hair. Great product I bet it is even bullet proof but I m not trying it..

This gel is a decent alternative to the Nexxus Exxtra Hold Gel I was using before they changed the formula. I've noticed some reviews from other African-Americans using this product on natural hair styles that state there is a white residue. I did not experience this. However, I cut the gel with a bit of water before applying it to my hair due to the excessive thickness of the product. In addition, I combed the gel through my hair to lay my edges and insure even application throughout my head. Finally, I sprayed my hair with a natural oil spray from Carol's Daughter (Black Vanilla hair sheen). The gel perfectly defined my curls, laid my edges without any need for additional edge control, and did not leave any residue. My hair was a bit more "crunchy" than I like, but I frequently rinse product from my hair and deep condition it, so I'm not overly worried about that. Will purchase again.

This gel is definitely the real deal when it comes to hard to hold. i think it dries faster than got to be. i dont use it all that often but when i do it does its job lol . the only thing is when you squeeze it out it has like such a gooey consistency just like snot and can get a tad messy . but you can deal with it.

First of all it does not hold for long especially if you have truly hard African hair. Secondly it leaves brown flakes on the edges. I have tried but I don't think I will be using it anymore.

This hair gel was recommended on Facebook by some dance moms and I must say I’m very impressed. Both of my daughters dance classical ballet and are required to be in a traditional bum 5-6 days/ week. This eliminates all “fly always”. Before, after rehearsal their hair looked like it didn’t have any hairspray or gel in it. Now, we hardly use hairspray and after 4 hours of dance their hair barely needs a touch up. Love it, love it, love it!!!!

I have never done liberty spikes before and this product with some blowdrying made indestructible spikes that lasted all day in my daughters hair at school. Smells good, washes out easily. I'm so so impressed with this gel... Gorilla Snot is the best! Thank you.

Soy peluquera y es una de las mejores gomitas para niños. Les parece divertido los dibujos del empaquetado. Aunque hay que decir que si te pasas echando producto, si que es verdad que deja un poco de residuo en el pelo y se queda blanquecino. Pero por lo demás aguanta todo el día sin problema.
