Great quality, fit over top of my 14x9.5 greenhouse perfectly with a little hang over. This has saved the plants in my greenhouse from the scorching temps of California heat! Drops the temperature considerably. Buying another for my side yard to protect more plants.

I bought this to use at dog events during which I must car crate. It's big enough to hang over the lift gate of my Honda Pilot, and to cover the windshield. I purchased a couple of different types of magnets to keep it from blowing off, and it works great to keep my vehicle cool. I put a fan on the crate, and on really hot days, cool coat on the dog. But the aluminet shade takes the temperature down significantly, and is a must have for summer dog events.

So far so good. Put it on my clients greenhouse. Only time will tell for how long it will hold up. The 13'x16' size fit perfectly for the 8'x15' custom greenhouse. The roof pitch is 12/12 or 45 degree angle so the 13' span accommodates the roof. I used eye screws, polyester rope rated for outdoors, and an adjustable carabiner to secure the rivets. This should be sufficient to keep the temps down in zone 8a when seeing temperatures hover at 100 degrees F. This serves as a temporary shading cover for the clear polycarbonate panels and will be removed during the winter months so the greenhouse can warm properly. What separates this specific brand from others is the engineering behind the tarp. This company uses heavy duty threading as an inner structure for added strength. Feels more like a fishing net covered with Mylar. Most other shiny tarps don’t have this level of “rip stop” cord matrix. Very very strong. The 70% seems to be the magic number to prevent it from becoming a big sail in high winds. The way I use them is: if I need a 10’x8’ area shaded, I’ll double that to 20’x8’ and fold it in half before hanging it up. Gives much better shade while holding up in even super high winds up to ~50 mph. Highly recommended for hot weather camping and vehicle/tent wrapping. Don’t pull it tight when you rig this tarp! Let it have a little flex to move in the wind!!

Bought this large size to create a shade between two vehicles. Using magnets and bungees. It has been very effective in the summer heat. No trees in area.

This is something every desert dweller should have in their car! Just drape this across your windshield if you break down somewhere and it will keep your car 20 degrees cooler! And if you have pets, don't leave home without it - portable shade like this could save your pets life!

I used this 3 times and a grommet has already ripped out. The aluminet itself it great. It completely covers my minivan and keeps the interior cooler that outside by at least 10 degrees. I have used this in full sun at dog sport events in 95+ temps. It is difficult to fold up when done because of the size. When I put it on my van, it is hard to tell which side is which and takes a bit to get it covering the van. I use magnets to hold it to the van. I haven’t yet found a way to lift it up to be able to get in & out of the van easily. I may replace this with 2 or 3 smaller ones to get around the folding and covering issues.

13 foot by 16 foot. Good, kept the minivan cool - around 16 degrees for my Old English sheep dogs in 27 degrees Celsius sunny weather. Covered my minivan from from the bottom of the front window to the top of the rear hatch when open and down the sides of the van. I had a separate shade cover that hung off the back of the hatch. Material is quite sturdy, I only used one of the toggles to hold it at the wheel, stayed put on a windy day.
