Though the sizing says size a 1/2 size smaller, I think it's backwards. I wear an 8-8 1/2. I bought the 8 and couldn't even get them on my feet. Returned them, got an 8 1/2 and it was horribly uncomfortable. I decided to try the 9, and they fit like a champ.
