Pukka Herbal Tea

My favorite tea for night time. Great flavor with the right combination of herbs.

This is my go to night time tea. I first found it at my local Sprouts Farmer's Market. I was looking for a new tea to help me relax before bed. I had been drinking Vanilla Sleepytime tea. I liked the flavor but it didn't have any effect on my sleepiness. After looking at all the teas available I decided to try Pukka Night Time. After patiently letting it the tea steep for 15 minutes, I took a sip. I was pleasantly surprised at the light herbal flavor. Within 20 min of finishing my first cup, I felt more sleepy than usual. This has happened with every cup (2 boxes). I purchased on Amazon because it is much cheaper than the store here. It has the same flavor and freshness. Tips: • boil the water. I usually bring the water to about 175° for herbal tea so it doesn't burn. This tea doesn't seem to have an issue with burning the leaves. • steep for 15 min! You might be tempted to drink it sooner. By waiting you are getting more of the herbal effectiveness. Plus by the time it is ready it is at the perfect temperature. I am a firm believer in finding what works for you. I got super lucky with this find. Maybe it'll work for you too.

I was surprised it tasted as good as it did. I did use 2 teaspoon of natural sugar in a large cup. I was a bit confused as to the ingredients. On the box it says it has valerian root, but on the tea bag paper it says lime flower. The rest of the ingredients are the same on both. It did make me sleep well, feel more rested and fell asleep faster. I have severe insomnia, and usually can't get to sleep till sun comes up even if I lay down at 8 pm. But after drinking this last night I fell asleep around 10pm and stayed asleep till I had to get up to pee, and went right back to sleep. No sluggish feeling in the morning and I feel rested for once. I didn't even have to take my sleeping meds. I imagine if u mix this with a melatonin you'd be guaranteed a great sleep without the groggy feeling and brain fog in the morning.

Was good taste good

I've tried all the major/well known brands of "sleepy time" tea and this one is my favorite! I make it about an hour before bed, take with 250 MG magnesium, and I now get quality sleep despite a lifetime of terrible insomnia. I love this tea because I hate the melatonin "hangover" effect and try to steer away from prescription meds unless absolutely necessary. This tea has a fresh, herbal/slightly grassy taste - at first I wasn't sure how I felt about it, but now I look forward to my tasty hippie sleep tea lol. I also love that this company is big on transparency and being pesticide free, etc. I highly recommend if you have sleep issues like me!

This is my own personal opinion & review. I like this brand of tea because it's consistent with quality, flavor and price. We all know that price is important especially during these trying times of inflation. TASTE: First impression I received was the taste of creamy oatmeal with hints of lavender and grass. Weird, maybe, but it works. It's an unique unison of flavors. PACKAGE: I believe these are unbleached bags and there's no after taste either. Bags are strong and durable. There were 3 boxes in total delivered. Honestly, I don't have much to say as I'm drinking this great cup of tea and writing this review. It does relax you and make you sleepy. This tea is a quality product. I’ve been purchasing it from several different suppliers over the past 3 years because the tea tastes good and is effective in helping me go to sleep.

I received the sample pack for Christmas and loved the flavor of this, as well as its effects. I was really disappointed that the flavor is so diminished in the actual box. It is super weak, even with only a little water. I'm not sure what the difference is.
