Yes, we ship most of the year. Some people grow their comfrey indoors in pots during the fall or winter, then plant it out in spring.

Can comfrey be grown indoors over the winter and then planted outdoors or is it best to purchase in the spring?

If you have a greenhouse or a place where you can give the comfrey plenty of light, then overwintering comfrey in pots is what many people do. Just be sure to keep an eye on it to make sure it's waterered if you see any signs of dehydration. Plant them outdoors in the spring after you harden them off.
