Comfortable
Isn't that the primary purpose of a shoe? They fit, seem sturdy and secure; excellent value. PT approved following knee surgery. Oddly when I first opened the Amazon reviews I saw several extremely negative comments from 2+ years ago. Not sure why they would receive prominence especially since the issues are irrelevant to the shoes I bought last week. Who is choosing to "feature" outdated negative comments? These are a good shoe; glad I bought them.

Good quality, good fit, plus try before paying!
I was pleasantly surprised at what a good fit these shoes gave me. Coupled with Amazon's "try before you pay" offer, my experience was as good as I could have gotten in a brick-and-mortar store. Perhaps better because I could try out my new shoes in the environments where I would be wearing them, and that is a real plus when you consider that in a box store, you only get to walk up and down an aisle and that is really not the best way to consider if the shoe will really be a "best fit" for you. In summary, I love these shoes and I appreciate the Amazon "try before you buy" offer. I am a delighted customer!

Way better than the other guys... my feet are happy again
New Balance became my favorite show two years ago because of a pair I bought in a store in in Florida. The Cushioning foam they used in them was like LIKE MAGIC on my feet. I could not find the same model a year later and bought another supposedly good brand of shoes (Sketchers) but they didn't hold a candle to the New Balance Foam and even though I tried on 20 pairs, I could not get ones that fit as well as the new Balance shoe that lasted me a SOLID YEAR using them every day, 10 to 12 hours/day most days. Sadly, I could not find the exact model I bought 2 years ago (or the same color, although that is not as important), and these were almost $50 less than the first pair I had, And although the foam is better than the Sketchers (BY FAR), they are not the same quality as the first pair of New Balance I had. Granted, they are less expensive, and I suspect it may be that they are simply not the Highest End they offer (but I could not find those and settled for these) - I am happy with them, and they were WELL worth the money I paid. But I will still seek the others if I can find them. The first ones were made in the USA, and these are not, and really, if the technology follows them, that should make no difference in the material used for the foam. They do fit perfectly, and they are better than anything else that I have access to, but ONE STAR OFF for not made in the USA like the first pair I had (although some may still be made here - I just can't say for sure). I will buy them again, but I will STILL seek the other model I had, if it is still manufactured.

Love these New Balance 813s
I'm really hard on shoes, as an old guy who has suffered a Lisfranc break, and my feet aren't happy in any of the shoes I wore before breaking my foot. I must have a shoe that I can put custom arch support in, it must be easy to put on, and it must allow extra cushioning up in the mid foot area. When I first was recovering from the break, I used the highly recommended New Balance 928s. They worked well for me but were pretty pricey and they didn't last long (about a year). So the next time around I decided to try the 813s, which seemed to have all the same features but at half the price. Those shoes lasted a full three years so I recently followed up with replacements using the same model. I highly recommend these shoes. I do a lot of walking with my dog, and hiking on the close by foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. They were just as comfortable as the 928s and much cheaper. When I do a long distance hike, I use some good hiking boots, but for the short ones (most days in the spring to fall period) I just stick with the New Balance. For my particular foot, the arch support that comes with the shoe (I had to replace it for a couple of years post break) is adequate, using some inexpensive Dr. Scholls to add the extra padding I need right under the metatarsals that broke.

Attractive healthy walking
Five years ago, my podiatrist recommended New Balance walking shoes and I have worn the shoes on the left probably 1800 days out of the 1825 days I’ve owned them, because they are so comfortable. You can see they are looking a little worn, but still quite serviceable. I have had the new ones on the right for a month and they are also very comfortable, while providing the support for my feet that my podiatrist recommended. I also like the Velcro-type fasteners because I think they look neater than laces, and they NEVER become untied, which used to irritate me with laces. In addition, I have set the fasteners so I can slip my feet in and out of them without having to unfasten and refasten them, and yet because of the good shoe design, they still provide healthy comfort for walking. I don’t think I will ever go back to laces again for casual shoes.

these go up to 11 out of 10
Wow, I've had these for quite a long time now and they are my #1 pair of footwear. The build quality is extremely good. The soles have hardly worn after many, many miles. If New Balance makes something that I need then I will buy it - full stop!

These are B width
Excellent product. Just limited sizes available. Hoping the regular size was wide enough but these are a true B width. Need wide width. Sadness

Great show for disabled seniors!
Bought these for my senior uncle in a care home. They provide good grip and have wide sizes for larger feet. I’ve bought these in both white and black as they are easy to put on and do up with the Velcro. Good shoes for indoor or outdoor with good arch support. Happy with this purchase!

Cómodos y prácticos
Para las personas con alguna limitación física que les imposibilite atarse las agujetas, es una muy buena solución.
