I love these pants and most certainly will be ordering some more.
I'm a heavy set woman. Hard to fit, my tops run about 2XL and my bottoms run about 1XL (or 22W). Its hard to find a place that sells clothes true to their size charts. Why they are so different, I don't know. Foreign online stores sizes tend to be way off on American size charts. Their XL's fit me more like a Large and often call their sizes "one size fits all". There's no such thing, and I never order/buy from anybody that advertises like that. Intentional or not, to me its a bit shady dealing. I'm gonna keep track of the Happy Trunk Store for future orders. I'm 5'4'', have thick thighs, and even the leg room on these pants don't restrict at all. Comfy-roomy, soft fabric, elephants in the design, whats not to like? XXL:my waist is like 55'', inseam 29''. Btw, these pants have elastic at the ankles, picture doesn't show that so well. One other tip about inseam: look at the tag in your jeans, not sure if manufacturers still do this, but your jeans should look something like 34/30, even 54/30. That's waist/inseam. In case you don't have a measuring tape. Every woman should have a measuring tape. fyi: in response to some reviews: 1. you've washed your pants, and now there a hole in the crotch: it is not unusual for stitching to come loose after washing its not because of faulty fabric or the person who sewed them. Just fraying can cause a stitch to come loose. Or the hole was already there you just didn't see it. I could sew up the hole in the crotch in five minutes. Good as new. 2. I've read some reviews about how their pants didn't fit well. When you look at the size chart with product. I have trouble with the right fit. My waist is about 50 1/2, hips are 55, and my inseam is 29, but 30 in inseam I like best. You MUST get your inseam length. Your weight has nothing to do with your measurements. Get a tape measure, position the tape measure in the crotch of your pants where the seams come together, then down to the top of the arch of your foot. That's your inseam and very important as your waist and hips. I ordered and received my harem pants, tried them on right away in case they needed to be returned. According to their size chart 3X was my size. Its seems to me that American women are the only women on the planet whose measurements aren't accurate with the the rest of the world. Don't know why. My pants are comfy, love the fabric, not too thin, they drape well. Kind of like my chinos pants. Washed well, if they shrunk even a little, I could not tell. Same fit before and after washing. Saw one description that called them "sweat pants". These are NOT even close to sweat pants! I'm happy with mine. I would wear them to work. I bought three over the course of like two or three months or so. That's plenty of time for new manufactured fabric to change a bit. Mine were still the same fit, wear, and no fading. Folks just need to really pay attention to the size charts, because some other sellers with same fabric same quality, and their 3x was more like 1x. Pay attention to the charts, if the waist and hips don't go any higher than 48 '', they will not fit you and disappoint you. As for shipping, I got these pants in the mail faster than the keyboard cover that has now changed the delivery date to April 14th. I ordered it back in February. I'm just hoping that my keyboard cover isn't on that huge freighter stuck in the Suez Canal.

Quality and Stunning Fabric
I am 5’9 and weigh 180. (Ug). I ordered Xl. This XL is perfect not big and baggy. True fit. These harem pants did not disappoint. The fabric has a slinky feel with a bit of weight which gives them a comfortable quality. Not cheap thin fabric as some write. Odd. The seams are finished very well (triple sewen if I recall) so no raveling. The waistband is 2” elastic and comfy. The colors are eye catching. I wish they were 2” longer but it doesn’t matter bc I wear them just below my belly button. It feels perfect bc I have stretchy loose pants that fit that way. These look great. Thank you.

Shorter/tighter than you'd expect
I'm 5'4", 120 pounds, and usually wear size Small in pants. I bought these in Large after buying others. First I bought smalls. They were too short and then even shorter (and tighter in the hips) after washing in cold water (but not drying in a dryer). Then I bought mediums. I found the same thing happened after washing in cold water, but at least they were still long enough to wear... although shorter than I'd have liked. So finally, I bought size Large. The fit is looser in the hips/legs than the mediums but the length doesn't seem much different. And then I accidentally put these in the dryer today when I wasn't paying attention and now they're super short. Grrr! Stupid me. However, I might wear them as shorts in the summer by pushing the elastic up just below my knees. I ordered another pair just now (in Large) because they are very comfortable and look nice. I even wear them to work (as a middle school teacher). Anyway, I thought I should share my experience with these pants. I really love wearing them because you can dress them up or down. Very versatile. However, you might find they are shorter/tighter than you expect if you get the pants size you usually buy.

Comfortable, great fit!
These pants are AMAZING! When I first took them out of the package, I saw the tiny waist and thought they would be way to small. I decided to try them on anyway. The waist elastic is super stretchy, so I was very happy when they fit. I'm about 5'1", 155 pounds. I typically wear a size 12-14 in jeans. I ordered a Large. I have a rounded belly so I'm always concerned about pants fitting comfortably over my belly area. Most pants are either so tight they leave red marks on my skin, or won't stay up. The waistband on these stretches easily so it holds them up perfectly with no need to constantly pull them back up, yet it's gentle and comfortable around such a sensitive area. I have gastrointestinal issues so often have stomach discomfort, and take medications that make my belly area swell out to the point that I'm often asked if I'm pregnant. But these were still quite comfortable. The elastic around the ankle area fit great, and the length was perfect, but I believe it will fit someone slightly taller or shorter as well. I spent almost 2 hours browsing this style of pants and reading reviews. I'm glad I settled on this pair! It's roomy enough that if I gain more weight from my medications and medical treatments they will still be comfortable. I bought them for belly dance classes, but they are so great I'm planning on ordering a second pair in a different color, and will most likely wear them around the house too! They feel so light, airy, and breathable they will be great to wear to my dance classes. Instructions say to hand wash and lay flat to dry. I haven't washed them yet, so I can't speak for their durability or color stay. I ordered the Black, and they don't seem to be see-through, and I didn't see my panties through them when I looked in the mirror. I've already recommended them to my Mom and she plans to order a pair too! EDIT: I have worn and washed them twice now. I washed them in the machine on delicate cycle in cold water, inside of a mesh laundry bag so they wouldn't get pulled on too much by wrapping around the agitator in the machine. Then I hung them up to dry. The color didn't bleed or fade at all (but I washed them separately, not with other clothes since it was a delicate cycle, so not sure if it would have bled onto other items or not.) After first wash one of the side pockets is just slightly unstitched near the top on one side. It didn't get worse after the second wash. My Mom sews so I'll have her reinforce the top of the pockets at some point. I'm still leaving a 5 star rating, because they are just THAT comfortable!

Very Thin Material
I hate wearing jeans & have been wearing harem pants for years because they're cute & comfortable. I usually buy them at a local brick-&-mortar hippie shop in my hometown of Des Moines, Iowa for $40-50 a pair. When I found these harem pants online for much cheaper I figured I'd try them out. I ordered a M as I am 5'3 and about 145 pounds. I do wish I'd gotten the L! They fit OK. They'd be perfect if I was 135 lbs. I like the pants to be a bit bigger rather than fitted for comfort. The length is perfect! I love the ruched elastic waist. The colors are vibrant and true to the picture. But the material is EXTREMELY thin. This is why they're so cheap. When I opened the package I knew instantly that the fabric was as THIN AS IT COULD POSSIBLY BE to even be wearable. The harem pants I buy from the brick-&-mortar shop are much more substantial of a fabric blend and that's why they're pricier. I haven't worn my new pants yet as I fear that the too small size and thin fabric will rip if I try to lounge around in them and sit down. I'm thinking I'd better lose 10 lbs to make them work (I need to anyway - lol). The fabric isn't necessarily "sheer" just because the pattern is so vibrant. All the colors kind of camouflage the sheer factor, but I'm sure the plain colored ones must be VERY sheer. I have mixed feelings about these pants. They're exactly what I love wearing and very pretty, but I miss the softness & "quality" feeling of my more expensive pants from the hippie shop.

Comfortable, nice-looking. Lightweight enough for summer. Good value for the price.
Pants arrived two days ago, so this review is from the early days of ownership, and does not address durability over time. . The seams are well-sewn and the garment does not have any apparent sewing flaws. Pockets are lightweight (not for storing all your stuff, but quite all right for a key, credit card, Kleenex, etc. The 2XL size is fine for a woman who usually wears a 1X. Fit in waist, hips, and rise is comfortable. Pants move with me, no binding or tight places. The gathered ankle shapes the pants, but fits loosely, allowing for air flow. The pants washed well in the washing machine -- no raveling or problems with the seams, and no color bleeding (used a a mesh bag in cool water on the regular setting, and drip-dried the pants). The colors are more vibrant than they looked on the screen when I was ordering, but that is a plus, as they are beautifully done. The pants will work with a tank top or tee shirt, but could be dressed up with a soft, flowy blouse or dressy sandals. Bonus: some of the proceeds from the sale go towards protecting elephants in Thailand. Happy Trunks, indeed!

Great, comfy, well made harem pants!
I really like these harem pants. The sizing is a bit small compared to standard "American" clothing, in my opinion. I would have ordered a medium, based on the Happy Trunks sizing information on Amazon, but luckily, my sister was visiting and she had a pair (xl) that I was able to try on. The xl fit nice and loose, like I was expecting. Since I realize rayon tends to shrink a bit, even when washed in cold water, I wanted the extra room and length. I got three different colors, and I'm very happy with the bright colors/patterns. The rayon is soft and lightweight and they're very comfortable and attractive. I would definitely recommend them, but do order up a size or two if you want a little more length and to allow for a bit of shrinkage.

NOT COLOR FAST. WASH AND DRY SOLO.
Bought the purple peacock size small. Beautiful and comfortable. Perfect fit. I am small, and it is hard to find pants that go small enough, but fortunately these run shorter than most other boho pants I looked at. Lightweight with nice pockets. However, they are not color fast at all. The purple color immediately turned my water purple when I washed them and leaked onto the bathtub where I left them to dry. The dye also ran a little into the patterns on the waist while drying, though the pattern is busy enough that no one will notice. I recommend hand-washing every pair by themselves and laying them flat out in a bath tub or something to dry. If they are touching other clothes while drying, they will probably stain the other clothes. They may also stain what you dry them on; you can wash the color off a tub but maybe not a wooden drying rack. Laying them flat instead of hanging may reduce the dye running and affecting the patterns, though this position will also take longer to dry. I would hesitate to put these in a washing machine, but if you do, they should be the only item in the cycle. Unless your goal is to tie dye your other clothes, in which case, go for it.
