| Product Care Instructions | Keep plants well-watered during the growing season, especially during dry spells. Plants need about 1-2 inches of rain per week during the growing season. Use a rain gauge to check to see if you need to add water. It's best to water with a drip or trickle system that delivers water at low pressure at the soil level. If you water with overhead sprinklers, water early in the day so the foliage has t… |

Quick germination
These germinated really quickly. Can’t wait to see what comes out of them. Hopefully the squirrels don’t like corn LOL. Will update later in the season

Good corn for sure
Very viable seeds! I planted and watered in heavily. The first seed sprouted in 3 days and then most came up on day 4 with a few that came up on day 5. I could see them growing as they sprouted out of the ground, they must have exploded out of the seed. 7 days after planting they were already 3-4” tall with 3 fat unfurled leaves, I didn’t have to wait long and quite healthy looking. I planted late in the season and I won’t know how they do for end product but that depends mostly on me and the weather. I have a small garden and the bantam will work well to fit into the spaces I have, a small area protected from deer, free range chickens and armadillos and a low hail guard. I mixed in with cream peas and I even put some in with my sweet potatoes in grow bags. I will know how well I do later but the first show is strong plants vibrant green with all of them coming up. +++ Wait… I just went to look again and I now see 5-6” tall… keep growing my lovey bantam.

Germinated well
It pretty much all came up. It's growing pretty well. I can't complain about that, considering that I've bought seeds before that didn't germinate at all. Never bought seeds from amazon before and didn't really have high expectations. I'm not going to wait for it to produce to rate it because corn is kind of hit and miss in my soil composition and climate regardless of variety. Hard clay soil which isn't very nutrient rich and summers which tend to not provide much rain until hurricane season, so like August; The year before last it even stayed dry right up until November (Didn't hurt my garden too much since I water it but I had some deer plots planted that dried up and died. kind of gave up on setting up permanent deer habitat after that tbh). And aside from the lack of rain, I've also got a weed problem that I've been fighting. I'm considering moving to raised beds in the future. Improving the native soil is just going to help the weeds grow. The alternative is to maybe cover the garden in plastic for a few years; but I'm like 5 years in on saving seeds at this point and if I miss two years my climate adapted seeds are gonna lose viability...

Best sweet corn ever!!!
Wasent sure when i bought it bc it was cheaper. Holy heck the flavor is amazing bursting with flavor. I ate it raw. By far the best sweet corn i hsve ever had each stalk was taller than me i am 5'3 and had 3 to 4 ears per stalk. ( the pic i posted was me and the corn behind me) I will buy a lot of this next year. Highly recommend

The corn was purchased so I wouldn’t have to look at the Neighbor
The corn grew well needed some initial loving and caring, but came out fine. It grew high enough so I didn’t have to look

Poor Germination - All Die
We have had very poor results with Burpee seeds in Western Oregon. Less than 10% germination. We have started in open rounders and plastic covered rounders. Same poor results. The Golden Bantam Sweat Corn germinated at about 40% then died at six inches. We had the soil tested at the local agronomics company. We have treated for soils for fungus. Same poor results in two locations and two plantings. If in Oregon would not recommend.

Spotty growth
Spotty growth, my garden usually does Amazing this corn grew in spots 8 rows of if I put them all into complete 8’rows I might fill 2.5 rows. Not all grew. Disappointed. I won’t be buying seeds through Amazon again 😞
