I bought one of these for my front door back in 2021 and its still holding up. Perfect added security, especially for single parents or teens in their first apartment. I got this for my 18-year-old niece and it definitely adds peace of mind. It feels sturdy, was easy to install, and is a simple way to add an extra layer of security to the door.

Let’s be honest: I didn’t buy the EverPlus Childproof Door Reinforcement Lock for burglars. I bought it to stop my 3-year-old from busting out of the house like a tiny, pantsless escape artist on a juice box high. And guess what? It works pretty well — by which I mean I now enjoy the calming sound of frustrated toddler grunts as they try to MacGyver the door open with a plastic spoon. This thing installs easily (translation: I only said 3 swear words), and once it’s in, it’s not going anywhere. It’s sturdy, solid, and clearly designed by someone who has personally experienced a small child trying to join the neighborhood dog walk unsupervised. Pros: Reinforces your door like you're preparing for a toddler-led siege. Easy to use for adults, meaning anyone over 4' tall with basic motor skills. Adds an extra layer of security, or at least, an extra 30 seconds of panic time during a break-in. Cons: Doesn’t stop the child from screaming “OPEN THE DOOR!” like you’ve locked them in an emotional prison. Not strong enough to keep out your in-laws, unfortunately. I now have to unlock two locks every time I get takeout. Inconvenient, but worth it for child containment. It’s also become my go-to way of saying “We are done going outside today.” The door’s locked, reinforced, and child-proofed. The tiny inmate is still inside. Success. Final Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – 5 stars. Perfect for stopping kids, buying time during a zombie apocalypse, or just making your door feel like it’s seen some things.

I really like this EverPlus security door lock! It feels super strong and well-made — you can tell it’s built to last. Installation was quick and simple, and the eight screws make it feel extra secure. I love that it opens just enough to see who’s outside without actually unlocking the door. It’s also great if you have kids, since it keeps them safe from accidentally opening the door. Overall, I feel much safer at home with this lock. Totally worth it!
