Works as Indented with VGA Monitor to HDMI Desktop
I needed this for gaming from my Switch to a VGA (PC Mode) from HDMI. So far I’ve tested on 4 TVs in my house and it doesn’t work on two of them but it does on the other two. Now on one of those supported TVs the image doesn’t adjust properly from the vertical space even when adjusting under settings etc but the other shows up perfect! So I know the cable works is what I’m getting at. What I really bought it for is so I can play my Switch on an actual Dell Monitor at work during my lunch hour and I can test that tonight. Our monitors don’t have HDMI but only VGA and DP. DP doesn’t work when going from HDMI to DP so that’s a no, and downside to VGA is it doesn’t carry audio but the headphone jack on the Switch still works in docked mode. During my 4 TV test and of the two that worked, I didn’t notice any input lag whatsoever. I’m using a 3rd party mini dock and HDMI to VGA Adapter on top of that and still no lag. That may differ when I test at work. Tested at work with no issues except the monitor only accepted 720p and showed “Mode not supported” until I lowered the output resolution on my Switch.

Did the job!
I have an older model Benq LCD projector that I use to conduct professional workshops, and display lessons for school and church. It's a great projector but it operates with an older monitor cable; it doesn't have an HDMI port, but I have a newer laptop computer that doesn't take the older monitor cable. I didn't want to purchase another projector because I consider my projector one of the best ever made. So, I purchased the HDMI to VGA video converter/adapter cable to solve this problem. When I first used it, my projector gave an error message; however, after searching for the remedy online, I found out that all I needed to do was lower the resolution on my computer to make it work properly. The change in resolution worked, and now I don't have to look for an older laptop computer to make my projector work. The converter/adapter cable did the job!

If you have an older PC and a new monitor, this may be your solution!
My older PC has only a vga output for a monitor, my new monitor has an hdmi input. Drats! This adapter fixes that issue in a hurry. The only caveat is your screen resolution will only be 1080p. That resolution is more that adequate for most applications and should not be a concern. It is well constructed and works great.

Worked flawlessly for nearly a year!
Since my "new" (3 years ago) PC didn't have the printer port, I was forced to buy the adapter. I just ordered my second one (from this company) today. My previous one lasted almost a year without any issues, then today I was using my PC, and suddenly my monitor flashes the "signal lost" prompt on my screen. Ok, been here before so at least I know what the issue is. 11 months for this to work then crap out.... I'm ok with that. Now that I think of it, I should buy two today... just in case....haha! But seriously, I'm quite content with everything about this device.

Works great with my older monitor
Was given a new laptop at work but it only had an HDMI port which wouldn't work with my blue cord. White cord wouldn't work either with an adapter they provided. Got this adapter and now I have two screens to work on- my old monitor and my laptop screen - so much more productive! Thanks!

Pretty dang useful for everyday use
The monitor that I used for this is on the left with nothing on the screen, I use that one for videos and pulling up articles. My right monitor is what I use for gaming and writing papers) So one morning I had been cleaning out my room when I found an old Monitor that I could use for multitasking, but found out that it used VGA, and I had already used a VGA port on my GTX 1050 Ti graphics card. After looking around I found this neat little product and saw that it was just what I needed. I had upgraded my gaming/school setup so that I could stream, do school work while reading articles, ect.

Did the job at a good price
My new Dell sat unused for days while I researched how to make it work with the connections on my old perfectly good 17" acer monitor. This adapter worked perfectly. In the meantime I’m waiting for my new larger monitor to arrive Then I’m planning on keeping the adapter handy for my husband who will probably not want to buy a new monitor when he upgrades his 5+ year-old computer. Thanks for a great product. I do wish that you would allow returns for that guy who it didn’t work for. Or at least offer technical support to him.

no problem with the seller but....
The product only worked for a week and than it is not connecting to my monitor. I would have returned it for a full refund but i work 2 jobs and am hardly at home and my son just advised me of this yesterday. so i am outside my time to refund the product.
