On the positive side, this fit me as expected and is comfortable to wear. It is a light-medium weight jacket. At first the 'hidden' velcro feature for the hood fooled me, I couldn't figure out how it would work with only two loop sides of velcro visible. It fixed a problem that I don't think would have occurred On the down side, this jacket does have some strange branding on it. It also has a weird flap/pocket that is on the inside back of the neck, where I would expect a size tag to be - haven't figured that on out yet. The zipper is pretty light duty, and probably the first fail point. Waterproof? Yes, possibly. I wore it in a mist situation, and it did keep me dry. Not convinced the same would be true for a heavy rain, or how durable the waterproofing might be. It appears to have some fabric that is supposed to be a knock off of Gore-tex. I don't think it is equal to that name brand. Still a reasonably well looking jacket for slightly wet situations. Consider the price point.

Bought this for my husband for Christmas. Nice lightweight jacket. Great quality. Fit is perfect.

This is a decent jacket, and the price is right—so long as you can get past the awful embroidered writing. The jacket makes a good first impression. In gray, the polyester looks great. The stitching is good, and it gives the overall impression of a quality garment. If they had left it there, I would give this higher marks. It will keep you dry, and the mesh fabric does indeed help the jacket to breathe (and Wei-Tex may be a reasonable knockoff of GoreTex). But as is often the case, the makers couldn’t be satisfied with a good, basic jacket. They had to embellish it—and keep embellishing until they made a mistake. It has a logo on the chest, and it has additional writing on the pocket and the sleeve. The yellow lettering looks attractive enough set against the dark gray fabric. The chest logo reads “Outdoorjackets” with a mountain logo. On the sleeve, it reads “WEI-TEX”. And then in gray stitching right beneath, it says “PerformanceShell”. I'm not a fan of running words together, but I can live with it. And I don't want to advertise I'm wearing knockoff GoreTex, but I get it. But then on the pocket flap, in a combination of yellow and silver stitching, it says “REMOTE HUNT Sports Jacket / Peaceful and Serenity.” Peaceful and Serenity?? Seriously?? Peace and Serenity. Peaceful and Serene. But NOT Peaceful and Serenity. I just can’t bring myself to wear it because of that. In fact, I would pull the threads out before I would wear it in public. And I have no idea what a remote hunt is (except for a ritual in the evening before watching television). But if you don’t gag on this sort of thing, this is a nice jacket at a great price. Still, know there are those of us who will be laughing at you behind your back every time you wear it.

This Rain Jacket did not fit my husband at all, he wears xxL but not even his arms would go in, sad because it looked so good.

Was really looking forward to this jacket and opened it upon arrival. The jacket looked and felt good and I'm sure that it will keep out the rain and wind, but the hood is useless. First of all, it you were able to tighten the tabs under your neck, it would probably be too tight and uncomfortable. But then, you can't actually tighten them because both tabs have the same Velcro-type material on them and they will not hook together. Also, the amount of Velcro on them in minuscule. Next, there are two pull strings on the hood to tighten it around your head, but they don't hold. I pulled to tighten the fit and as soon as I let go of them, the hood loosened right up again. Tried this a few times. Finally, the hood hangs down over the eyes blocking your line of sight. You don't have to use the hood, though that would be nice to do in bad weather, and it even has a zipper on it so it can be removed, if you prefer. And this isn't really a problem, but the jacket, itself, has a left handed zipper, with the pull on the opposite side of what we are all used to. It's a nice jacket, and I do like it, but it is in serious need of a redesign.
