Excellent humidifier, Elegant and super effective
I bought the Blueair H35i and I really loved it. It is very easy to use, has a modern design that looks nice in any room and works super quiet. Since I use it, the air feels much fresher and more comfortable, especially on dry or heated days. I like that it doesn't make annoying noise, it's easy to clean and really keeps a good humidity in the environment. You can tell that it is a good quality product and it is totally worth it. I recommend it 100% for bedrooms, living room or any space in the house.

Only great while it worked for a month
UPDATE : 1 Month Later - It DIED! Dead as a doornail in a MONTH people! Will not turn on, if it does turn on, it shuts itself off, if it manages to be on and running, the water pump won’t bring water up onto the filter. I have thrown in the proverbial towel and returned it. DO NOT BUY THIS. PROS: Works brilliantly! I live in a desert and usual humidity was around 5 - 10%. I suffered from frequent nose bleeds, dry skin and dry eyes. This little unit has kept my bedroom at a very comfortable 45% humidity. I have to refill it daily, but that’s understandable! Refilling it is extremely easy with a water pitcher. I have not spilled anything. The unit is extremely quiet, and once I figured out I could adjust the brightness of the display on the app I think it is a perfect humidifier. I would absolutely plan on using the app if you purchase the device. The functionality of the top display is such that you really are better off using the app. It works seamlessly once you get the controls down. CONS: Keep in mind that when using the included QR code to “register” the device you’re only guided into signing up for the blue air promotional emails which is why I’ve knocked one star off. You’ll need to use the email associated with the app, create an account on their website, and then go to register the device under the “devices and warranty” subheading using the serial number found on the back of the unit and your date of purchase from Amazon to actually register your device for the 3 year extended warranty.

I like
’ve been using the Blueair Premium Smart Humidifier in my bedroom and large living spaces, and it’s easily one of the best humidifiers I’ve ever owned. It’s perfect for anyone looking to improve sleep quality and maintain ideal humidity levels effortlessly. 💧 Innovative InvisibleMist™ Technology This humidifier doesn’t produce a visible mist — instead it uses advanced evaporative technology to deliver clean, balanced moisture without sticky residue or “white dust,” so it feels natural and fresh in the room. 📱 Smart Auto Humidification & App Control Connect it to the Blueair app to adjust settings, set schedules, or choose your target humidity. Auto mode intelligently keeps humidity where you want it, and Night mode keeps noise to a whisper — perfect for sleep.

Disappointment
I bought three Blueair H35i “Invisible Mist” humidifiers in September 2025. Two of them have worked very well. They are relatively quiet (except on the high setting); are simple to operate, refill and clean; and do not require bottled water. I clean the units weekly and make sure they never run out of water between cleanings (which requires filling twice daily). The room humidity levels have improved, although I suspect the device’s humidity readout is not representative of room humidity since the sensor is so close to the unit’s output. The third unit ceased working after 4 months, displaying the “low water level” indicator even when the unit was full. The fan would operate only momentarily before turning off. Advice provided by the manual and provided by a Blueair representative did not work. I found a third party website that offered suggestions, one of which seems to have worked. I suspect an issue with the unit’s water level sensor or water pump. I am very disappointed in the Blueair H35i. Although two units have worked fine, I have no idea how long the third unit – or any of them, actually – will continue to run. I would give two of the H35i units five stars. Because I cannot ignore that third unit, and am concerned about the durability of the other two units, I am giving the H35i two stars. A major issue with one unit out of three is unacceptable.

Pretty but way too annoying
I wanted a humidifier for my living room, so I turned to trusty Wirecutter for a recommendation. They had recommended the Honeywell Cool mist humidifier back when I bought one for my bedroom in 2018, and I love it! Even despite it's clunky "brutalist" form factor it's low maintenance and reliable. However I can not recommend this Blueair humidifier. At 3x the price of my old honeywell... THE GOOD: The design is attractive. It's easy to clean. It's easy to fill. It works to humidify the air. THE BAD: It needs to be cleaned too often! With the water tank open to the air beneath the fan, it quickly collects dust and debris (hello potted palm frond) and the water gets funky (even with a "Cleaning Fish"). Also, it's loud! The sound of water trickling is constant, like I've got a fountain in my living room. It's very annoying. THE MEH: The app is easy to use, but I just don't care that much about it. Grabbing a separate $8 humidity sensor it would be very easy to manually turn the dial up/down. Not worth the extra cost IMHO to have an always on WIFI feature I can control from my phone.

Quality- love the ease of a ‘pour on the top’ access to add water (do not need to remove casing or tank. Part of choice was the NO Mist - evaporation technology so NO dripping of droplets in room or fine white dust - especially love the filters (can wash by hand) to eliminate air particles and and the wick technology limiting the chance of mold in tank/water/air - Quiet! Like the App control and on the canister manual controls. Set Humidity level / alerts for low water and filter cleaning or change required. Quality product - purchased for parents in nursing home- dry air hard on respiratory system and skin. Great price point / quick delivery / online order for filters (1-2 year) depending on use

I already have two Blueair air filters so I know that this Swedish company produces high-quality products. This humidifier was very easy to set up and I like it because it does not require using distilled water which I would need to purchase and lug in to the house. It uses tapwater and I have a device that measures air quality which I have used with it while functioning and it does not produce damaging air particles when in use. Excellent product and working well using wifi.

I purchased this humidifier expecting strong performance and reliable humidification, given the high price and premium branding. Unfortunately, after a full week of nonstop operation, the humidity in my room barely changed: from 38% to 40%, and only within 30 cm of the unit. The rest of the room stays completely dry, and I still wake up with a dry nose — something that never happened with my previous humidifiers. The built-in display shows 55–60%, but an external hygrometer placed right next to it consistently reads around 40%. This means the unit either measures incorrectly or produces only localized moisture that never spreads into the room. The device is placed properly on a nightstand and used continuously, but the real-world effect is negligible. Overall, this is an attractive, expensive device that simply does not work in dry winter conditions. If you need actual humidity — not just a decorative appliance — this model will disappoint.

Really worth it. It really humidifies the room without having a mist. That's what I needed. My humidifier is next to a closed plant cabinet and it increased the humidity in my room as well as in the closed plant cabinet. Thinking of purchasing another one for the living room. Above all there's no sound coming out of it and the fan is at level 2

I've had this humidifier for a month now. I find it to be pretty good quality for what it is, but if you need something to produce A LOT of humidity, this isn't the ideal item for you. The price is likely above what it should be for the results you see, but about what it should be for the engineering that went into it. The short story is that, this is a very nice, even premium, item when you look at how it operates. This is a wicking filter style humidifier, which means you should not be seeing white film all over your room/apartment/home but you are required to replace a filter every so often (the manufacturer says 3-6 months per filter, but I'm not sure if that will be the case or not yet). It does raise the humidity in a bedroom, but would be insufficient if you're trying to use it for a living room or or larger space. The long story is this, I've had ultrasonic humidifiers. I've had very small personal ones that my wife and I have set on our bedside tables that had their own little filters for the water that worked quite well. The only problem was there were no filter replacements so you needed to replace the whole things about every year. We've tried large ultrasonic humidifiers which, unless you're going to pay to use distilled water, are likely to leave a white film all over the place due to minerals in the water. We've tried ultrasonic humidifiers with cleaners and those little ball things that are supposed to help, but they don't really do anything. We even found that our HVAC filter was getting clogged prematurely from using ultrasonic humidifiers. We've tried humidifiers that use heat, with these you don't get the white film all over, but you get hard white crust all over the heating element area that, honestly, takes forever to clean sometimes. Even if you're cleaning it once a week. We've always followed the recommendations by each manufacturer and have always had complaints or issues. With this though? Not as much, it's not perfect, don't get me wrong, but it solves the issues we have had in the past. Positives: The humidifer does work. Does it work as fast or as much as I would like? I don't think so, it certainly doesn't generate the kind of humidity that an ultrasonic one does, but so far it's doing enough. It functions with a water pump that pushes water to cover the filter and a fan is used to blow humid water from the filter into the air. One huge positive of this is that the filter doesn't sit in the water constantly helping mold to grow (this was an issue i ran into with a Honeywell model that has a wicking filter that sits against the water reservoir and is constantly wet, where I went through 3 filters in less than a month). After one month our filter only has the odd white bits (mineral deposits) and I have reason to believe it will last at least 2 month, maybe even the recommended timeframe. We don't use the app for the humidifier and only use one setting (max fan). With max fan over a 6-9 hour sleep session we use between 2-3 litres of water or so each night, mostly depending on how humid it already is in our place. The humidifier also has a dry out mode, so if you turn it off, it will still run the fan intending to dry out the filter so it doesn't sit wet indefinitely. This stops mold from growing and removes musty smells from permeating. After a month our filter still smells pretty normal. Cleaning is simpler than any other humidifier I've owned, there may be more pieces, but it's nothing to put the right pieces in the sink with the right solution, and clean it down once a week. There aren't millions of crevices you have to fight with and honestly, I haven't had any scaling, mold, or scum to clean with me cleaning it weekly. Negatives: It doesn't push out as much humidity as I wish it could. I get it, it's a central unit with a wicking filter. That said we only use it for our bedroom. Do I wake up with dry throat and mouth? No, but is my nose dry some days? Yes. The price is a little high ($199.99 CAD) considering the results you get, but with a water pump and it pushing water over the filter, I think the price makes sense for the effort that went into the system. That said, I did get this item on a large sale. Medium things, or things that other people have mentioned as problematic that have little to no concern for me, personally: There is a humidity reading on the unit, however I don't think anyone should use that with any certainty. I've seen some people complain that the humidity reading on the unit isn't right, but of course it isn't. It's inside of the unit, of course it's going to be more humid in, and around, the unit than it will be in the room. The only way to truly test the effectiveness of the unit would be to put it in one corner of a room and get a humidity reading from another corner... or something similar. I don't know much about the timer settings or any other settings, I just run the fan at full speed and let it do it's job. I found that at half speed we only use maybe 0.5-1 liter of water a night and I wake up far too dry. Never use company apps, I don't care that they have an app. Just use the settings on the screen of the humidifier. Caveats: We only received this item in October 2025. It's only been one month. We haven't had to use the heat in our place, but we do leave our windows open often and live in a drier city. Will it be good enough for the winter? I can't say with 100% certainty but I can only assume the wick will dry out faster and we'll use more water. I'm also only using this for one specific use case (at home, in my bedroom, overnight) and am only sharing my personal feelings about the unit. To be clear, without a humidifier in our place, I wake up with my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth, I don't with this humidifier. I may update with new info if I feel it's important, but if it's not updated, assume it's still working well for me.
