Short review after 40 hours of use....
I will try to go in chronological order...As always, started out researching and trying to decide what I wanted. Eventually found the used section of Amazon. This is very lightly used. The Company, Perixx, has a very nice website. I am glad I ordered this. This Mouse is very easy to use. Takes a couple days to get used but that goes for everything. It shipped fast and came packaged well-protected. The cord is good length. I plugged it in as soon as I unwrapped it. This mouse is just as good as new. I mean, the mouse seems like a new product. The price was very fair. A little over $20. So yeah, it basically self installed. I plugged it into to my USB on an old laptop with Windows 7. It took a little time for it to go thru its installation process. After having it self installed, it seems like it cant be unplugged without it losing all memory and having to be re-installed all over again. But yeah, then it is just up to the user to click into the settings menu. Each person can adjust the sensitivity level to their preference. Good product. Takes a bit to get used to. Works very well. It makes browsing the internet much easier. Happy I got a good deal.

Great Trackball/Mouse
This trackball feels really good in the hand. I'm not sure what it's made of but it feels nice and soft. It's as good as a Logitech Trackball and Logitech quit making wired trackballs (which was a mistake in my opinion). I haven't done much with it other than plug it in and use it. I use the left mouse button, right mouse button and the scroll. There are other buttons that I just haven't messed with. It works and it works well. This is in response to someones question about finding a case that this trackball will fit in. I have this trackball and I also purchased a Logitech trackball. I have a case that was made for the Logitech trackball "Hard Travel Case for Logitech MX Ergo Advanced Wireless Trackball Mouse by co2CREA (Case for Mouse)" here's a link to it https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075JF2S7H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This trackball fits rather good in that case. It's not a prefect fit. I have pictures, I'll see if I can upload them. You can zip the case shut up until the zipper reaches the USB cord on the top of the trackball. There is no way that the cord is going to fit in the case and I think if you tried to bend it to fit it in that you would damage the cord.

Great value trackball
I occasionally like to dip my toes into trackball mice as they are far more comfortable for long sessions on the computer. In my current go around I decided to try this mouse. At first I was actually looking at their more expensive model, the 520 however based on the pictures and the video angles provided by the so called 'reviewers' on youtube I settled on the 517. Because the shape looked better for my hand vs the 520. First impressions, this is by far the most comfortable mouse I've had my hand on. Which falls between medium/large hands. I have long hands (usually large measurements, sometimes XL depending on sizing used) but very skinny so a lot of larger mice are too big and mice for medium hands are too small. This, compared to Logitech's value trackball, the m575, the angle is better in my opinion and doesn't strain my wrist from an awkward tilt on the mouse. I wish it was either a little more or less on the m575. Or just a slightly different shape (I hear people say the older design/model, m570, was better/more comfortable. The other big thing is this mouse supports your whole hand and all fingers as opposed to having pinky hang off. The premium version, MX ergo, suffers much of the same issues for me. The tilt, even being adjustable just doesn't feel right regardless of what setting/angle you use. There are other issues I had but they were little gripes here and there and probably falls under personal preference. With this being a value/budget oriented trackball it does have some issues. I am finding the standard ball that came with it to be a bit tight sometimes. It has a lot more resistance. This also seems to vary/fluctuate on how bad it is. Sometimes it isn't too noticeable, other times it will feel like it is catching occasionally or something and it gets harder to move/rotate ball to move cursor. It seems to have gotten a tiny bit better since I first got the item earlier today, so I am hoping it improves enough to not be annoying trying to daily this trackball. The other thing, and I do not know if this is a QC issue and I got a bad unit, or just the way it is because it is cheap, but the scroll wheel is absolute garbage. I would go as far as saying borderline broken. It has a lot of sideways play. This causes issues scrolling as the rubber wheel gets caught on either left or right click. As well as trying to use middle click. So far it seems scrolling works if you 'guide' the scroll wheel, though it is unfortunately just easier to switch to arrow keys temporarily. With the middle click, you might as well not even bother using it. Huge bummer as I am a heavy middle click user. As another review said, there are not many performance trackballs available, and even what is labelled as such could hardly be called that in actual life. However this trackball overall is a great performer out of what is available. Offering essentials while leaving the extras out to reduce cost. Currently debating on either keeping this one and hoping the ball gets better with use and I guess just dealing with the faulty scroll wheel or return this to exchange another 517 or upgrade and try the 520. I will try to remember to update review.

Impressive
So far I'm really impressed. The feel and function of this reminds me of my old wired Logitech. I bought the wired version since I have generally found wireless devices to have too many glitches to be worth the benefits. The ball movement is smooth, and the button and scroll action is just right. I have found the resolution button to be useful and convenient without being in the way. At this point I haven't seen anything negative about this product. Reliability is yet to be determined. That has been a problem with my Logitech trackballs in the past--the work great early and then die early. Last year I bought a wireless Elecom EX-G trackball from Amazon and it died within a few months. I'll report back after I have had it for a longer time.

Zakupiłem go kierując się opiniami kupców z Amazona.

Me adapté bien. A gustos. Yo estoy encantada.

As easy and nice as the big players’ product can be. Button are firm enough to avoid unwanted clicks. The only point on down side, the button to set the resolution are really not easy to find without watching to the trackball body b
