Five stars for ease of setup and extension of range!! I am not what you'd call especially tech savvy, but this was super simple to set up, even for me. If you have reading comprehension skills, you can do it. Have your wifi username and password ready, and you're off to the races. Between that and how well it's working, I wish I could give it 2 more stars. I can't speak for the overall range or working distance, but with my modem in a downstairs office, trying to use a tablet to play online games in an upstairs bedroom (in an old house with lath and plaster walls) I just didn't have the signal to use it for that purpose. In order to get the games to load or open, I had to walk out of the room, through the hallway, 3/4 of the way down the stairs to get enough signal. Now, you'd never know there was an issue! I don't think the fire stick I have in the TV in that same room would have worked without this extender. Haven't tried to go further to test the range, but it's perfect for the range I got it for. Decent price too! It's a winner!

I ordered the FOTN 2025 Fastest WiFi Extender, WiFi Repeater, WiFi Booster based on positive reviews & because both 5 & 2.4 Ghz are claimed to be supported & the price is quite low. However, the item I received does not support 5 Ghz. A number of reviewers had mentioned the same discrepancy. I discovered that the item I received was actually the FOTN 2024 Fastest WiFi Extender, WiFi Repeater, WiFi Booster, which sells on Amazon for considerably less. Presubably those other reviewers received the older model as well. The 2024 version that I received at the 2025 version price also appeared to be very light & composed of a cheap plastic. I returned the item unused & didn't bother reordering. If you order the 2025 version, the lights on the unit should be labeled "Extender - 5G - 4G - Power." However, if instead the item you receive has the lights labeled "Extender - WiFi - LAN - Power," they're sticking you with the cheaper 2024 model.

Wifi range is good. Easy set-up. Speed is not as great as I would have liked but overall does the job.

Works ok, but loses the signal sometimes. Feels and looks low cost.

Very quick setup following the instructions rather than WPS. Its plugged in on the far side of our 2500sqft house and signal strength to our Starlink router on a different floor is great. With a direct wi-fi connection to the Starlink router, I'm getting 150 mbps. Connected to this extender just 15 mbps. This may just be the way the Starlink router handles 'extenders'. That said, if all you need is a wi-fi signal for routine websurfing and HDTV, it should be just fine. For the price of a couple of cups coffee, I'd say I got what I paid for!

I installed this extender in my garage, one floor below the Wi-Fi router, to boost the signal to my computer about 25 feet away. It improved download speeds, but upload speeds remained the same. Pages would stall, not loading. Before, I did not have this issue. I moved the extender to different outlets in the garage hoping the signal would improve but it only got worse. I tried adjusting the antenna's on both the extender and router and found no improvements. I read up on how extenders work and they basically repackage the data packets to and from the the computer, and in many cases this technology will not improve overall signal capability due to environment. I'm feeling this extender doesn't offer enough power as I've installed wireless extenders into clients homes and seen vast improvements, so I'm thinking this specific unit was the wrong choice for me. Not enough power. There may be living situations where it will work well, like in a horizontal connection. The router is one floor up, just 15 feet away from where I plugged in the extender.
