I am incredibly happy with this one. The terminator is one of my favorite movies and I know it in and out. However, I just had the standard dvd version. Recently got a UHD player and have been replacing some of my favorites. This one looks REAL good. The majority of the movie takes place at night and overall low lighting conditions, and even then it looks phenomenal. It looks like it was originally recorded in full HD - there is minimal graininess compared to other 4K movies from the era I’ve gotten (ST III). I’ve seen detail that I’ve never been able to pick up on before - the scene where Sarah bites Kyle, he has a bite scar on his hand the rest of the scene. Never seen that. Nor the terminator shead a tear when taking out his eye. I wish all the 80s movies looked this good.

La remasterisación en 4k es muy buena, conserva el granulado fílmico y nivel de detalle de la imagen es magnífico, si tienes un teatro en casa el sonido envolvente te dejará sorprendido con su increíble calidad y sus potentes sonidos bajos, sin duda valió la pena la compra.

The Terminator has always been one of my favorite movies, and I finally pulled the trigger on the 4K version. Let me just say—this remaster is totally worth the purchase. I’m not usually a fan of rebuying movies I already own, but for the titles I love and plan to rewatch over and over, the upgrade makes sense. The Terminator definitely falls into that category. The 4K transfer breathes new life into the film. The image is crisp, the shadows and lighting really pop, and there’s a noticeable improvement in detail and color compared to the old Blu-ray or DVD versions. That said, the stop-motion scenes of the endoskeleton in the factory are still a little jerky—as they always were—but that’s part of the charm. It’s a practical effect from the ‘80s, and I respect that it wasn’t overhauled or digitally “smoothed out.” The film still holds up in every other way: the pacing, atmosphere, and tension are as gripping as ever. If you’re on the fence about upgrading, I’d say go for it—especially if The Terminator is a favorite of yours. This version does the film justice, and it’s the kind of quality upgrade that makes it worth sitting down for yet another rewatch.
