This was recommended to me because it is supposed to be good quality nascent iodine. I have noticed that many of the products that say they are nascent iodine are actually Potassium Iodide or some other form of Iodine. This one seems to actually be nascent iodine. Also, this one has a good amount of nascent iodine per serving, so it's a better deal. I am pretty happy with this one.

For those concerned about pimples and rashes, this is your body detoxing fluoride mostly, but maybe other harmful chemicals as well. Fluoride is a hormone disrupter, and is one of the main reasons people in the US have thyroid issues. If your state adds fluoride to the water, you could very well have thyroid issues due to that one thing. Especially if you’ve been drinking that water for years. This iodine is going to cause your body to get rid of the poisons like fluoride, which is a good thing. Poisons have to have a way to leave the body. Mostly they leave through the skin. So sometimes you will have pimples or sores that show up, which is the toxic stuff leaving the body. I had a very tender pimple/sore develop just inside my nose, on the upper rim. It took 2 weeks to heal and disappear. I’ve also had a few pimples on my chin area, since starting to take this iodine. I rarely get pimples, I’m 63 yrs old, so I knew something was going on. As I read more and more about fluoride detox, I realized these sores/pimples were part of the detox. And totally normal. I have been taking this for about 4 weeks now. I’m still feeling a lot of detox going on, I don’t have the burst of energy that others talk about, but I’m hopeful. I’ve spent the majority of my life in states that add fluoride to the water system. I expect it will take a few months to completely detox all that fluoride out of my organs and my body in general. I started taking 3 drops a day a few months ago and was feeling so much better. About a week or 2 in, I was getting anxiety, high blood pressure, headaches, body aches, insomnia etc... so I stopped taking it. I thought it was toxicity in this product but after studying, I have changed my mind. I believe now that this was apart of the detox. I’ll explain why. I started taking it again a few weeks ago, but only 1-2 drops every other day and then the selenium on the off day. I can still feel my body detoxing, but at a slower rate. One that I can handle. The symptoms I’ve been having now are just mild body aches, scratchy throat and of course a few more trips to the bathroom than normal. I have read that these symptoms I am having can be your body fighting a dormant mono virus that you didn’t know you had. Apparently 90% of the population has dormant mono and they have no symptoms of it. What they are finding is that this dormant mono seems to be causing other auto-immune diseases later down the road. So I think these symptoms are from my body fighting it off. I have read that it will run its course as you keep taking the iodine. Even though I can tell I’m detoxing, I still feel so much better. I find myself smiling most of the day. I feel my emotions are actually working like they should. I feel endurance and energy. I feel mentally sharper. So I’m going to keep taking it every other day. I have heard it can take 6 months for your body to detox from all the fluoride, chlorine, bromine and all the other toxic chemicals it has absorbed. I wish they would stop putting all this crap in our tap water at least. They should just treat it with iodine. Then we wouldn’t have this problem. Iodine is a great sanitizer just like chlorine. I feel this product is worth the price and does indeed help one feel just all around better . I generally take two to three drops per day as stated. After a few weeks I do feel better using it . I did a skin test and was absorbing iodine quickly . After moving further from the Seacoast I noticed this product helps me feel better . I am not in the ocean air which I miss nor am I eating as much fresh seafood and sushi being away from the ocean . So until I can get back this product is great and I can feel a difference in my overall well being . The taste is fine with me . The price is good also . I missing the ocean air so very much . I know this product is helping me while I am further inland .
