It was such a great experience to see mushrooms grow in your own room. Instructions were simple and easy to follow and the results were very satisfying. Mushrooms tasted great and the texture was perfect. We harvested three different times already and it’s still growing like the first time! Value is relative. Keeping the moisture level is the key but even after taking 5 days of vacation it didn’t rot! Great product!

I love mushrooms, but had never seriously entertained the idea of growing them before. I had a friend mention mushroom kits which peaked my interest, so I decided to give it a go. I decided on oyster mushrooms because they are a personal favorite of mine and a bit hard to come by where I live. The growing process is extremely simple from start to finish. All you have to do it cut an X , agitate the top layer of "soil", and mist twice daily with the included sprayer. I put my log(?) on a table in front of my kitchen window which gets a lot of natural sunlight (but never any direct sunlight) and followed the steps. The instructions said that it can take up to a week before you see growth, but mine started after a couple of days. Watching the mushrooms grow was strangely satisfying! They grew shockingly fast and would double in size sometimes within the same 24 hour period. About a week after starting the grow kit, I had a beautiful crop of mushrooms ready to harvest. They tasted great and I look forward to buying another kit soon! Would highly recommend the product to mushroom lovers or anyone who may want to overwhelm their friends and family with daily pictures of shockingly fast growing mushrooms. P.S. - One thing that I did a bit differently from the instructions was mist more than the instructions called for (somewhere around 15 or 16 sprays each time and sometimes more than twice a day). Since I don't know the counter factual, I'm not sure if that helped or hurt my final product, so I am not explicitly recommending it. Regardless, I was very happy with the batch I got.

I am not new to growing mushrooms. I followed the instructions and instead of mushrooms I got an outbreak of an awful mold that has spread from this block into the air in my house, contaminating other processes I have been carrying out successfully prior to the introduction of this block. The mold that has emerged from this block (one I have never before experienced in over a decade of growing mushrooms in my home) has contaminated everything, including my fruit fly growing media, destroying those grows so I am having to spend funds to buy fruit flies to feed my dart frogs, and compelling me to have to sterilize the area in my house where I was able in the past to carry out aseptic processes without contamination. I am livid.

I have ordered several different kits from this seller, and how fast they grow is AMAZING! You get little buds in about 3 days, and they are usually ready to harvest in less than a week! I know it says to grow them soon after getting them. I got these in March and I just started growing them last week. I put them in the back of my closet and forgot about the box. With this batch, I started using my water sprayer for my hair, and it is much easier for me, I find the little hand pump annoying, but I do work over 60 hours a week, and I get annoyed very easily. I don't like mushrooms, my husband eats them the most. I have to say growing your own mushrooms taste 1000 times better than store-bought mushrooms. They are rather pleasant. I love making chicken with balsamic vinegar and mushrooms. Also I have a personal pizza oven I bought on Amazon that these mushrooms taste great on. I am just now trying my "bonus" batch because I haven't bothered with the other ones I've grown because reading the directions seemed kind of difficult. The bag comes with zero percent mycelium growth . I wait for more few days and yet nothing happened . I order some mushroom kit from north spores and they all comes with mycelium growth .
