Murphy's Naturals Mosquito Bug Repellent Candles for Outdoor Patio, Citronella & Essential Oils, Soy/Beeswax Blend, 30-Hour Burn Time, 9 Ounce, 2-Pack

I have an outdoor cold plunge and the mosquitoes love to hang around when I’m getting in. I lit up the candle and while I was getting in I watched as the mosquitoes ran into the walls and anything in their way to leave the area. These really work. The smell is really clean and no funkiness to them. We are putting these on subscribe and save.

Always skeptical about new products and take reviews w a grain of salt, but I purchased these for an up coming trip to "mosquito-ville" and thought I'd try them in the cabin/camper. (Recently saw a camp hack where it's advised you use these INSIDE your camper to keep the bugs from even wanting to enter.) I fired one up, prior to the trip, in my shop, where I have a huge problem w those "daddy long legs" bugs. One night, I had them buzzing about a light and thought I'd try one of these in the shop. I did They were gone within minutes of me lighting one of these and placing it inside w me. The oder, to ME, is pleasant and most predominantly is citronella, but not overly powering. I do smell a hint of the lemongrass, which I believe cuts down on the typically over powering citronella. Again, for me. I did buy a few more. I hope this helps someone Update; Did a road trip through Pacific Northwest, Alaska, Yukon, British Columbia, etc and did the aforementioned hack of setting one up in my Bus each night. I got confident enough that it was working, that I would leave the slider door ajar for airflow with minimal bites throughout my entire road trip. It seemed to stop the mosquitos but there was this annoying little non biting, buzzing gnat that it did not.

I love these for the way they keep bugs away and because the smell is nice. I love the brand and that they are well made in the USA. I do not like the price (generally) and shop around to find the best deal. Amazon is able to offer them at a good price point and if you have Prime, shipping can be free, so that's worth it to me. Love these for our deck any time, but particularly when we have a cookout or family party. They work well and smell better than plain citronella. Great seller, timely arrival and packaged well. Four stars is ONLY for the price; I'd like to see them a little less expensive. The product and seller are great.

I live in Florida, next to a creek. Needless to say I have mosquitoes all year round. This Murphys Bug repellent is the only thing I have found that actually works. I use two candles at the same time, one directly down wind next to where im setting, and the other about 8-10 feet further down wind. Make sure the candles are lit so that the aroma comes your direction. It works the best if you get them lit 20min or more before dusk. They smell great, citrus aroma. I buy them all through the year. Thumbs up!

These candles smell really nice, with a natural mix of citronella and essential oils that is pleasant and not overpowering. I like that they are made with clean ingredients and do not have that harsh, chemical scent some bug candles do. The tins are sturdy, and they burn evenly for several hours, which makes them great for setting the mood during outdoor dinners or relaxing in the yard. They give off a cozy, natural fragrance that I actually enjoy having around even if the bugs are not bad. That said, I am not entirely sure how effective they are at keeping mosquitoes away. I have still noticed a few bugs nearby even when the candle is burning. They might work better in smaller, more enclosed areas or when used in multiples. Overall, I like the way they smell and how they add to the outdoor atmosphere, but I am not convinced they make a big difference for mosquito control.

I have to assume that they work because I haven’t seen mosquitoes around while the candles are burning. They smell pretty good too!

I’ve been really impressed with Murphy’s Naturals tea lights. The scent is pleasant—clean and not overpowering—which makes them perfect for relaxing evenings outside.
