​I bought these solar panel connectors to expand my off-grid setup, and they've been a lifesaver. The quality is excellent, and the plastic feels sturdy enough to handle all kinds of weather without getting brittle. They snapped together perfectly, and I had my new panels hooked up in no time. It's a real confidence booster to know my electrical connections are solid and won't be giving me any shocking surprises down the road. ​My only minor complaint is that they were a little stiff to disconnect at first. You really have to give them a firm squeeze with the tool, which might be a bit tough if you're working in a tight space. Still, it's a minor thing and probably a good sign that they're so secure. ​Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. They get the job done, and you can't beat the value. I'll definitely be buying more when I decide to get more power!

Work as intended

Excellent MC4 connectors. You receive a box of five including a tightening/disconnect spanner. I tinned the ends of the multi-strand 6mm² (10AWG) solar PV cable, then crimped and soldered the 6mm² wire and the MC4 copper terminals together before fitting the body of the MC4 connector. The connectors 'O' rings inside the cable grip provided a good waterproof seal around the 6mm² cable. Two spanners are needed for tightening the MC4 connectors. You only get one spanner per box of five connectors, but I had two boxes of these fittings, so had two spanners.
