The sounds are high quality and soothing, not tinny or repetitive and the gradual dimming makes falling asleep feel natural rather than forced. The alarm experience is a total game-changer. Right now I'm really enjoying the "Blue Light Morning" alarm, but there are so many other options I'm excited to work through. I've also added a second light-only alarm using the "Villa" light that I use as a mood lamp while I'm getting ready. It creates such a nice atmosphere in the morning and is a small thing that's made the whole routine feel a little more enjoyable. On the wind-down side, I'm still working my way through all the "Unwind" options and have been loving the Sound Baths, Soundscapes, and Music selections. There's such a great variety that I can just pick whatever sounds right for my mood that night without overthinking it. My bedroom feels like a spa! I've been falling asleep to the water and rain sounds lately. There are actually several different options for the type and intensity of rain, which is a nice touch. I'm also looking forward to trying out the meditations, which I haven't gotten to yet. I like leaving the clock on permanently, so I'm not tempted to look at my phone if I wake up in the middle of the night, but you can also set it to display the time only when you tap it, if you get clock anxiety at night. Setting up the Restore and the app was pretty straightforward even without reading the directions. I'm still fine-tuning my favorite routines, but even the very first options I tried were great. Only a few days in and I'm already looking forward to both my morning and bedtime routines, which honestly says it all.

I have been using my Hatch Restore 3 for over a week and a half and can confidently say that this has been transformative to my sleep quality. I wake up so much more refreshed, even with the same 6.5 hours of sleep (which is my goal this year to increase), but hey- the fact that I'm getting better sleep and wake up feeling more rested in the morning already on the same amount of sleep is shockingly amazing and already a testament to how impactful this addition has been to my life. I love the meditative unwind feature of the Hatch which greatly calms my racing mind before bedtime, followed by some fire camp white noise, which has helped lull my restless mind to sleep quicker than me counting sheep. I love the different light settings and have found that this function and the calming soothing alarm sounds vs. my jarring iphone, has helped my body gently wake up. I didn't realize how much of a difference these features would make to my overall rest and wellbeing and highly recommend the Hatch Restore 3 to anyone who is looking to better their sleep quality and routine. A huge plus as well for the beautiful sleek design that looks beautiful alone on my nightstand.

I feel like a spring chicken. I'm not a morning person at all and my phone alarm would always make me anxious. I hated starting the day feeling anxious. I love that this alarm clock lulls me awake gently but just enough. The mimicry of a sunrise is a really nice touch. I would get this as a gift. Something you aren't sure you need until you realize you really needed it after all. Functionality: Works great. Easy set up. Super simple and intuitive which I like. Design: Nice and sleek. One of my fave things about this is the look. I love how it mimics sunlight. The perfect size for my relatively small nightstand. The color is as described and shown in the pictures. Bonus: Like the design on the buttons. Again they're nice, sleek, and very intuitive. Features: It's been very custom to me, my habits, and preferences so far. It's a nice way to condition myself to sleep and wake up on time.

I bought this clock because it has been extra difficult for me to wake up in the morning because it is wayyyy too dark outside. This clock wakes me up slowly and wakes me up in such a good mood! Setting up the clock was a little challenging just because there’s so much going on and I wasn’t sure where to go to set up my alarms, choose music, etc. After a few attempts I finally got the routines down and loved it! The only thing is that there are many other features such as alarm sounds, winding down music, etc. that is only available if you pay for a subscription. For how much you’re paying for this clock, you would wish that the subscription would come with the clock. However, I wouldn’t say you need the subscription if you just want to use the clock for its main purpose. The add ons aren’t necessary but probably would be nice to have. Overall, I definitely recommend it, IF YOUR BUDGET ALLOWS FOR IT! It has done wonders for me, but there could be other options that can work for others with different budget concerns.

I debated how to rate this. So, for aesthetics and functionality as a sunrise alarm clock 15/10!!!!! It's really a beautiful, soothing, modern looking device that fits perfectly in my space. Occasionally I use a sunset wind down routine while I'm reading. I don't use sounds at night and prefer quiet. So I've never used any of the sleepy time podcasts and all that. Now for the app- it's just overpriced and overdone, not well designed and keeps a lot of really basic functions behind a paywall. I'm not about to pay 12 dollars a month to have a different species of bird than the one that currently does wake me up at 6 am. It would be nice to have the option though. If you are the kind of person that appreciates curated white noise machines at night, wind down podcasts and so on this could be a great device. For the price I paid for this alarm clock though I think at least basic alarm options should be available without a monthly subscription. Also making the device simply cross compatible with other apps to access my own music and podcasts would be nice. The reading light is SO bright which is nice. But it's too bright so I never use it. I wish there were an option to customize that. All that being said the basic functionality and beauty the clock and the ease and personalization I can access for my alarm itself is all really high quality.
