Great Tortilla Press and more!
I’ve been using this cast iron tortilla press regularly for the past few weeks, and it’s made homemade tortillas so much easier and more consistent than pressing them by hand. What I like: Heavy, sturdy build: The cast iron feels solid and durable — no flimsy parts. Consistent results: I get evenly shaped, evenly thick tortillas every time, which makes cooking way less frustrating. Easy to use: Just place the dough ball, press down, and rotate — simple and quick. Multi-use: I’ve even used it for small flatbreads and wraps with great results. One thing to note is that the press is heavier than I expected, so I store it on a lower shelf. But that weight is really what gives it such great pressing power. Overall, this cast iron tortilla press has been worth it. If you like making your own tortillas — especially regularly — this is a tool that will make the process smoother and faster. Highly recommend!

Heavy-duty, easy to use, and makes perfect tortillas every time!
This tortilla press is the real deal. It’s solid cast iron, so it has the perfect weight to flatten dough evenly without having to push too hard. I’ve used it for corn tortillas, arepas, empanadas — even mini naan — and everything comes out perfectly round and uniform. It’s super easy to clean (just wipe it down and lightly oil it after use), and it feels like something that’ll last forever. I also love that it’s made by Victoria — you can tell it’s high quality and well-crafted. If you make homemade tortillas or just want to upgrade from a cheap aluminum press, this one’s absolutely worth it. Feels professional and gives consistent results every single time.

Heavy Duty and Makes Great Tortillas (But Get Ready for a Workout!)
I'm giving this Cast Iron Tortilla Press 4 stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do: it presses perfect tortillas! The cast iron construction is undeniably robust. You can tell this thing is built to last and will hold up to years of use. I've been making consistently round and evenly pressed tortillas since I got it. The resulting tortillas cook up beautifully on my comal. However, and this is a big HOWEVER, be prepared for some serious heft! This press is super heavy. Like, surprisingly heavy. It's definitely not something you want to drop on your foot. While the weight contributes to its effectiveness in pressing, it also makes it a bit cumbersome to store and maneuver. If you have limited wrist strength, you might want to consider a lighter option, or enlist a helper! Also, I’d recommend investing in some parchment paper or plastic pressing sheets. It really helps prevent the dough from sticking and makes cleanup a breeze. I didn't do that at first and learned my lesson the hard way! Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. The quality of the tortillas is worth the extra effort. Just be aware of the weight before you buy. It’s a solid, well-made product that will last a lifetime, but it’s definitely a workout tool as much as a kitchen appliance!

Game changer for homemade tortillas!
My husband gifted me this cast iron tortilla press after watching me hand-roll corn tortillas one too many times — and it has been a total game changer in the kitchen! It has saved me so much time and effort. There was a bit of a learning curve at the beginning, but nothing major. I figured out that using a gallon-sized Ziploc bag (cut open on the sides) as a liner prevents the dough from sticking or tearing. I also had to experiment a little with dough portion size and pressure, but now my tortillas come out beautifully round and even every time. This press is solid. It's heavy-duty, made from quality cast iron, and it feels like it’s going to last forever. Despite its weight, it’s not bulky — I store it standing on its side with my pans, and it fits just fine. My kids even love helping — they take turns pressing the dough, and it's easy enough for them to use. You don’t need a lot of strength to get a good, thin tortilla. One note: this works best for corn and cassava tortillas. I tried flour tortillas, but the gluten makes them spring back, so they don’t press as well. Still, for corn tortillas, this is absolutely perfect. We’ve used it many, many times already and I can’t imagine going back. A must-have tool if you make tortillas regularly!

Muy fácil de usar para conseguir unas tortillas perfectas. El truco es hacer servir una bolsa de plástico de super en dos partes para evitar que se te peguen las tortillas a la prensa

I’d give this press 6 stars if I could. Casting is rugged and flawless. Very well seasoned. Made 16 5” tortillas in no time. The key is to use two cast iron fry pans. One on medium, the finishing one a little hotter than medium. Preheat. Use no oil. I also use two separate uncut zip lock bags. Make your dough using directions on Masa Harina bag. Roll a ball of masa harina about the size of a golf ball. Flatten slightly with your palm. Place on press covered with zip lock bag. Then place other zip lock bag on top of ball. Close lid and press lightly with lever. No need to press hard. End result is a 1/8” thick approx 5” diameter tortilla. Lift top zip lock plastic carefully then slide lower zip lock onto your palm. Tortilla peels off easily. Then into first pan. 15 seconds.Flip after 15 seconds onto second side for another 15 seconds. Then transfer onto the second hotter pan for 30-45 seconds. It will puff up. Then remove. Meantime prep another ball of dough onto press and have it ready for the transfers.Beautifully easy. You will be able to keep the assembly line rhythm once you get the hang of it. So easy and seamless. I found using a complete zip lock bag for each side makes it easier to make and peel off the tortilla. I suspect the double layer of plastic allows for movement without pinching the tortilla. Very pleased with this purchase. It’s a lifetime purchase and next I will try white and whole wheat tortillas. Washed complete press in very hot water and dried it off. Noted the beading of water on every part of this very well seasoned press. All edges nicely rounded and finished. Beautiful casting. I love cast iron cookware and have very fine and some very expensive pieces. This one is definitely a keeper. This press I will experiment with drying flowers and stems. One or two layers. Cover each side with heavy plastic so no moisture rusts the press. Lock lever with an appropriate weight.
