These chips could possibly be used for other sorts of meats, but I personally use them only for beef. If I'm going to make a steak or a roast on the grill, then these are the chips I turn to because they add that certain something to the flavor of the meat. Oddly enough, I don't use them for cheeseburgers because the chips can make the cheese taste odd. Since I normally don't make beef ribs, I haven't really tried them there, but I'm sure they'd taste great. I find them a little pricey compared to other chips I buy, but definitely worth the price. These chips offer a flavor that's just right. I often find mesquite a little too light for beef and hickory a bit too overpowering.

We've been looking for these chips in our area for months but no one carries them so when I seen them on Amazon I ordered multiple bags, they arrived within 2 days (I don't have Prime) you can smell the oak barrel aroma in the box they were shipped in. Great quality, value and flavor.

Post Oak chips are great for grill and BBQ/smoker flavor. Oak chips from used whiskey barrels have that oak flavor you're after plus a little something extra that you can't quite put your finger on. Je ne sais quoi bro - it's what you need.

These chips are moist and heavily bursting with aroma just waiting to complement the tri-tip, salmon, lamb chops or other vittles I'm planning on smoking. I had a hard time finding these elsewhere, and found this 4 pack to be a good value and incentive to barbecue even more in the Great Outdoors and not have to skimp on the chips because they're too hard to find. Came the day after order. I did place it early. Perfect box, bags, & chips. We live in the mountains, so it will be awhile before it gets warm enough to use them.
