This Stuff is Magic in a Can!!!
This stuff is absolutely AMAZING!!! I really didn't think it would work bcz it did say for "small" leaks, (mine was NOT small) but with a $1,500 estimate to fix my 2006 Chrysler Town & country with 128k miles,(def not worth it to me) I wanted to try this product first before I broke down to buy a newer car. I was so skeptical since there were mixed reviews, but most were positive so I ordered it. First off my vans "symptoms" were massive coolant leak (over a gallon a day), over heating, oil mixing with coolant, heat only blowing out cold air. I did not have white smoke blowing out of tailpipe or milky film on oil cap or steam from radiator. The coolant leak (with oil mixed in it) and temperature reading HOT within 4-5 minutes of driving, & engine driving rough we're my biggest issues. My husband's friend is a mechanic, so I know he was being honest, did find the HG leak also.. it would have cost alot more to fix had we brought it somewhere else. The $1500 was a favor..but still too much for an older van.. anyways, so I got the product, & my radiator was empty bcz it all leaked out (but it does say u can add it with coolant already in the radiator/no need to drain out) so I poured the whole can in while engine was cool, then topped it off with antifreeze & squeezed on the hoses to get any air out. I started the van & left it running for 20 minutes with heat & fan on HIGH. I Could still see it leaking underneath but not nearly as much (wait it gets better!) So I let engine cool again & topped it off with more antifreeze, then took it for a slow 20 min ride around town with heat still on high.. it was NOT overheating! Heat was HOT again! When I got home & shut van off, I looked underneath and the leaking had completely stopped!! You don't need to do this next step, but I went ahead to get an oil change on day 12 & added one container of the"Bars leaks engine repair 2 part formula" for added protection (not sure if the stuff really works good or not but I liked the reviews & figured it could only help) I could not believe this stuff in a can did all of that so easily! This stuff is great! 5 stars from me! I saved so much money! I am now on day 16 and everything is still going great! No issues at all. I am still a little bit skeptical on how long it will work for, but I've read that some people got another 50-70,000 more miles out of their cars after using it before they had to use it again!.. so I am definitely a believer in this product! I'll see how long it lasts. If any problems arise I will be sure to come back on to post about it..but for now all is great! Van is running better than it has in a LONG time!!👍

Excellent Product Support
Superior customer service at BAR's LEAKS has been our experience. Unfortunately, the product didn't correct our issue due to the severity of our head gasket failure, although I would purchase again should the need arise without hesitation.

Success On Second Attempt and 3 Months Later [Edit: 4 months later ( 2012-12-17)]... It's Still Working!
It's still working 3 months [Edit: 4 months ( 2012-12-17)] after I used it on my civic, which had a leaking head gasket. My mechanic said it would be a 1100 fix (woah!). He suggested that I use a liquid sealer instead. I did a search on Amazon for "head gasket sealer" and happened upon Bar's, and boy, am I glad I did!My first application wasn't successful. My car ran hot again after only a few days -- possibly because I attempted a 1000-mile drive to Yellowstone from Cali a few days after I used the product. Most sources I've researched say to *go easy* on your drives (don't rev it up too much) after using the product for at least a couple of weeks to allow it time to cure. So, after my second attempt, I took care to not drive my car too hard for the first two weeks or so.Also noteworthy is, on my second attempt, the coolant was almost empty when I used the product (on my first attempt, the coolant had been full). This might also be a factor in the successful use of the product the second time around. The takeaway from all this is:To give Bar's the best chance at sealing your head gasket, (1) drain your coolant before using this product (despite the instructions saying it isn't necessary). There are coolant flushing kits such as the Prestone AFKIT0 Prestone Universal Flush and Fill Kit that you can use to remove the coolant. (2) Go easy on your drives for a least a couple of weeks after using the product. There you have it. I hope this product works as well for you as it did for me. Good luck! (I will update this review periodically to report back on how Bar's is holding up.)[Update 2012-12-17]It's been 4 months after I used Bar's and that needle is holding rock steady where it should be. The coolant level, as far as I can tell, is the same as it was when I topped it off 4 months ago. I've already put 11,000 miles on it since I used "Bar's Leaks Head Gasket Fix." All signs point to this product working as a permanent fix as claimed. I'll update this review in a couple of months or when Bar's no longer works, whichever comes first. *fingers crossed*[Update 2012-12-28]Crud. My car overheated again yesterday when I was making a 250-mile drive. On this last trip, I had to rev up my engine to over 4000 rpm a good part of the trip (I usually shift gears between 2500-3000 rpm) but revving up the engine is hard to avoid when my underpowered (109 horsepower) car needs to climb some steep hills. It seems that the Bar's Leaks won't hold up on long, hard drives. I'm extremely disappointed, but still, I've had a good run with it the past 4-1/2 months. I'm going to give it another go. At 22 a pop, it's still better than shelling out over a thousand for a car that's reaching the end of its lifeline anyway. Product rating downgraded from 5-stars to 4 stars.

This stuff is amazing, does what it claims to do
Scenario: 2003 T. 4Runner burning coolant through bad gasket, replaced radiator and somehow the aftermarket radiator cap cannot hold pressure to suck the coolant out from reservoir tank, driving 4-5 weeks car will overheating with 30-40 floz coolant loss that i have to add-in. Did some research and went through most of the reviews here are Amazon, decided to give this product a try as my last resort or i will have to replace the head gasket for a few $Ks which dont make sense for a 215,000 mile car. Go as directed on the bottle, pour in the whole bottle for v6 engine while "engine is off and cooled overnight", now after 3 weeks i poured in the product, i only have to add in 2 floz of coolant to radiator today! Amazing! It seems to stop the leak no more coolant loss! I will check back in 4 weeks to see how much coolant i have to add to top off by then. But the result looks very promising.!Updating @ 11/23/22, After i used this product and replaced another radiator cap and checked every month on coolant level, seems like the new cap works and the radiator will suck coolant from the reservoir tank as normal and the coolant level only reduced a tiny bit every month when checked. So i went from checking every month to checking every 3 months and not really much coolant lost! This Bar's Leaks saved my engine! I have been driving this 4 Runner for 2 more years so far and not having any overheating or burning coolant issues. THUMBS UP!Update@12/12/2025, engine is still running smoothly everyday. Checking coolant reservoir level every 6 months and only find about less than 1 inch in reduction. Excellent product that worked. I will definitely recommend this to everyone but hope I will not have to "buy it again"~

The s*** actually worked. Edit: Not
Holy cow guys, for perspective, I only bought this to try and buy extra time. My car is a 1996 Toyota Tacoma 2.4 L4 I bought from a coworker last second so I could keep my job for $2000. I drive around all day from 8am to 9pm so you can imagine the pressure on it. I got stuck in traffic when to coolant ran out and by the time I got to the store the headgasket had already blown. It couldn't drive more than 500 ft with the heater on without overheating. Poured the stuff in and I let it idle for 30 minutes. It actually started overheating and I was worried I'd messed it up. Also it had used about half a gallon of coolant in that 30 minutes, but that may be a separate issue. And it worked as if there bad never been an issue. Been using it for over a month now. Well actually, there was one incident 2 days later. After I had driven to my first job I found it smoking and halfway to my second it started trying to burst out when i tried to take off the radiator cap. It also looked like the stuff backfed into the reserve at one point. But I mean, it worked fine other than that. So just use as instructed and something they dont tell you: for the first week, be overly cautious. Keep an eye on the thermometer, take breaks if it gets hot, and keep the heater on if you have to.Edit:Went back to the same frequency of overheating. It's been a little over a month. I guess it's what I expected. A little disappointing. Though $30 for a months usage beats fixxing the actual problem considering this was a junk car. Gonna buy another bottle see if that gets me more time.In conclusion. Use if you don't care about the car. Don't if you do care.

Too early to tell if effective and may have caused cooling issues.
I am probably responding to quickly to know if Bar's Leaks was effective. I used the product per the instructions when I noticed oil and water were mixing in my engine. I had no other symptoms at that time. No white smoke, idling like a sewing machine, not overheating, no loss of power, etc. I used the product after reading the instructions and viewing the procedure on the youtube video promoted by your company. My 1st trip after adding the Bar's Leaks my truck overheated within 12 miles. I removed my thermostat and put in in boiling water to check its operation and it had failed closed. I flushed my radiator and installed a replacement thermostat. Now my vehicle runs at the correct temperature on short trips but fluctuates about 15% on the longer drives I've taken. The temperature also increases when idling at a stop after it has already heated up to its normal operating temperature. When I start to move again the temp drops to approximately the normal reading. It also appears that the water/antifreeze mixture in my expansion tank is becoming discolored after only about 60 miles of drive time. I'm not sure if the Bar's Leak sealed my head gasket but it appears as though it may have partially plugged my radiator. Time will tell. I used your product on a 2003 Dodge 1500 quad cab 4x4, 4.7 with approximately 152,000 miles on the original motor.

She’s alive again!
It resurrected my ‘13 Prius! The mechanic said, “She’s got a gasket leak, coolant is burning up the spark plugs and so likely she’s just going to die on you.” I left the garage $—- poorer with my car lurching and stalling out; every check engine light going off saying “PULL OVER TO SAFETY NOW.” I called a retired mechanic friend who recommended Bar’s Leaks Block Seal Head Gasket Fix. I got it delivered Prime, poured 1/2 the bottle into my cooled radiator and followed the instructions. The next day, I went out and fired her up and she was back running! Cautiously, I’m only driving local but the major warning lights are off and she accelerates steadily. Now, I don’t know how long this resurgence will last but if it gets me a little more time to figure what to do next, I’m thankful!

Es muy bueno
Lo compré para un fiesta 2008 el cual había pasado agua al motor, funcionó perfectamente, un producto un poco costoso pero que vale la pena.

Good
Item same as described fixed the problem.

It works, fixed the intake manifold gasket leak and timing cover leak
This stuff actually worked for my old Jeep 2007 Wrangler JK with more than 260k km (V6 3.8L). I had a leak in the timing chain cover gasket and also an other leak at the intake manifold gasket. Followed the instructions on the container and no more visible leaks after only 1 day of running the product. Also, my "Long term fuel trim" for Bank 1 and Bank 2 used to be around +12% and they are now under 4% at idle. I usually don't have a lot of faith in "magic potions", but "Bar's Leaks 1111 Head Gasket Fix" did a good job so far for my V6. Used the entire bottle for a 12 Liter coolant capacity, the stuff is kind of a bit thick and has an orange colour with copper flakes inside.

2003 Subaru Impreza head gasket coolant leak
Engine was dripping coolant onto the exhaust when running....smelled terrible. No leaks from hoses, rad orheater core. Appeared to be leaking from a few head gasket leaks....nothing getting into the oil. Followedinstructions and topped up with product daily for a few days. Product should not freeze so always topped upbefore going for a drive so it could mix with the coolant. Huge improvement....used less than 1/2 the bottleand still checking but haven't added any for over a week.

Funciona muy bien.
Me soluciono el problema que tenia, sello bastante el paso del agua al aceite y al cilindro. Me quito el humo por consecuencia de la falla del empaque de culata. Por ahora me da tiempo para hacer una reparación mas adelante.
