Excellent Learning Tool
I purchased this toy as a birthday gift for the granddaughter of a friend. It was a big hit with the birthday girl. The item itself was attractive with bright colors, and the pieces were large enough for little hands. Moreover, the toy provided a fun way to learn shapes and colors. Upon have a shape inserted, the basket says the name and the color of the shape. This was an excellent toy for imaginative play and educational reinforcement. Just remember to buy the required batteries..

Delightful and Educational Picnic Fun for Kids
The LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket (Pink) has been a hit in our household! My little one loves unpacking all the colorful pieces and playing pretend picnic time. It’s super engaging—teaching shape recognition, vocabulary, and imaginative play as they share snacks, utensils, and food tokens. What we love most: Interactive learning: Each piece has a shape-matching sensor that announces the item’s name and color when placed in the basket. Well-designed pieces: The basket and food items are chunky and sturdy—easy for small hands to handle. Built-in music and phrases: Keeps the play engaging and educational throughout. Great for solo play or sharing with friends. Portable and easy to pack up, which makes clean-up solo for grandparents or caregivers a breeze. Truly a sweet, smart toy that blends fun with foundational learning—highly recommended!

Great choice so far
This is so super cute and educational. My daughter just got it for Christmas and she seems to love it, she’s 16 months old I love that it comes with batteries, and it talks to her very polite. Super cute toy and educational in shape sorting, colors, foods.

Great toy, needs more shapes.
My granddaughter is 19 months. She got this at 17 months. I love everything about it except that it only has 4 different shapes. Also, I don't understand why the forks are so comically huge compared to the plates. She has learned how to say triangle from playing with it and circle too. We are still working on square and She already knew "Twinkle Twinkle", which is what she calls a star. She loves to "pretend eat" the food and also pretends to feed her stuffies with the fork. It is a great product. I will also add that while she loves it, it has to be a supervised toy because she sticks her hand into the shape hole to retrieve the shapes and then gets her arm stuck quite often and then screams if she has access to it unsupervised.. This could be a safety issue or a broken arm if she did that and then fell with her arm in the toy. I can not think of any way to remedy that problem as the shapes and holes for them to fit into have to be large so they can't be a choking hazard. * She also likes to sometimes "cheat" and open the big opening when she can't make a shape fit where she wants it to!
