## Overview

The Amdro Gopher and Mole Killer is a powerful, compact gasser designed to eliminate a broad range of burrowing pests including gophers, moles, skunks, and Norway rats. Its small cylinder form allows it to penetrate underground tunnels effectively, making it perfect for use in lawns, gardens, and golf courses. With six gassers per pack, it serves as a reliable maintenance solution to protect your outdoor spaces from persistent pest damage.

## Description

The AMDRO Gopher Gasser kills pocket gophers, moles, ground squirrels, skunks, Norway rats* and woodchucks.** The toxic gases produced travel through unplugged burrow systems to kill pests. Gassers come in a cylinder form small enough to penetrate under-ground tunnels and burrow systems. Gassers can be used to treat pest problems in lawns, golf courses and even gardens. *Use in North Carolina on Norway rats only **Not for use on woodchucks in California.

Review: This war is a marathon, not a sprint.... - This product works, but it is not a one shot cure, consider it a maintenance item. I have no clue how to find the “main run” so what I do when I see activity is use one If these. The first time, I used a whole pack of 6 (I ordered three packs.) Each day I inspect the entire yard looking for new activity and smash down the area I previously nuked. I have not yet seen activity in an area I previously gassed and new activity has dramatically reduced since I started using these. I’m no expert but I suspect the new activity is from moles from my neighbors yards coming in as a result of decreased competition and rich feeding grounds because all the new activity has been close to the property lines/edges. I also noticed that I’ve stopped seeing surface runs, and just holes/mounds where they have come up from the depths. Not sure if they have gone deeper as a result of my attacks or if this is a specific/different variety of enemy, my yard appreciates it regardless. Stay vigilant and treat this as ongoing maintenance like cutting the grass etc and you will notice results. I didn’t want this war, but if it’s war they want, it’s war they will get!
Review: Works great if you do it right - Smoked out a gopher that was eating all my plants, as if it was a smorgasbord. Don’t breathe in the fumes. Be prepared before you light it up. The fuse is fast. Have something to cover the hole. Dirt to seal any of the gaps around the cover so all the smoke stays in his gopher borrow.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are these the same as road flairs? What type of gas do they produce?.**
A: NO! these are not the same as road flares. Road flares actually have more of a constant "Flame" type burn. These Gopher/Mole killers have an actual fuse that when it burns down to the cylinder starts the Sulpher type powder to start to smoke. Once the fuse is burning well (I wait until it is about 1/2 burnt) then you toss , or place it, "well into" the Gopher tunnel. Then quickly block the hole with rocks, dirt, etc. so the smoke does not escape. Be sure you are not tossing dirt on top of the burning fuse. This "WILL" put the fuse out, and the cylinder will not smoke. Also, it is important to look around as you are blocking the hole/tunnel, because usually Groundhogs/gophers have a second escape hole/tunnel somewhere. If you see the smoke escaping someplace be sure to throw some dirt, wet leaves, rocks, whatever is available to block the escape of the smoke. Also: ******"VERY IMPORTANT"**** DO NOT BREATH IN THE SULPHER SMOKE------ IT CAN CAUSE ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS FOR YOUR LUNGS/BODY******. If you are careful you will never have an issue. Wear gloves, a face mask if you have one and goggles. I suggest these things because: if you have to move in a hurry, you can walk into a branch, you will need to grab dirt, rocks, etc. quickly and you won't accidentally breath in any smoke. So as always with any things that could be of some danger to you, **** follow these 3 rules****: 1)SAFETY- 2)SAFETY- 3)SAFETY. Hope this helps. I have used these for many years with no problems. They do work. They don't explode or anything like that. You just need to have everything in place and close at hand to use, your matches or some sort of lighter, a shovel, a hand trowel, what ever tool you feel would be helpful to you for the project. Good luck & happy hunting!!!

**Q: I see in the product description it can be used in gardens is that vegetable gardens?**
A: It should be fine in veg gardens but I bought these three times and it did not work. We had to use other measures.

**Q: Is it safe to use in a vegetable garden?**
A: The package doesn't state that it shouldn't be used in gardens. There is no warning for garden use. As a gardener I'd advise avoiding areas with root veggies not because the package warns just common sense.

**Q: will it work on voles?**
A: Voles (Myodes) are small, stocky rodents similar to field mice. In fact, a vole might look like a mouse at first glance.
Moles
Do not have visible eyes
Have large paddle-like front paws with claws
Have long snouts
6-8 inches long, weigh less than a pound
Have brown or dark gray fur

Voles (Also known as field mice)
Have visible eyes
Are rodents, often confused with gerbils or mice
Have small ears, tails, legs
3-7 inches long, weigh less than a pound
Have brown or light gray fur

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Little Pricey, But Seem to Work
*by A***2 on April 1, 2023*

Like many, I battle those pesky moles. Seemingly my neighbors and I chase them back and forth! I have tried almost every idea recommended : Putting dog hair into the tunnels, the poison "worms," parking my lawn mower with the engine running over their mounds of ran hour at a time, moth balls, the electric "vibration" stakes, etc. This year, the "gassers" seem to be working. Don't be stingy, use several and follow the instructions. These are a little expensive to me, but worth it as they seem to have been the first thing that has worked in years. I will not tell my neighbors about these as I don't want the moles back!
