What is the trick to peeling it off? The "cut and peel" doesn't work for me and I waste alot of time trying.

Prepare a small knife, then use the tip part of the knife against the middle of the adhesive layer and the isolation layer to pick up, this method is particularly fast. Another method is to tear the double-sided tape diagonally, so that it is easy to tear the isolation layer by hand.
