Bottoms: Perfect for when it's slightly cold Top: Always visible
Bottoms: The bottoms of this set is extremely comfortable and form fitting. It doesn't pinch anywhere and doesn't leave any marks when removed from being too tight. The thickness is such that these are perfect for when the weather is 7-10 degrees below what I consider comfortable temperature. For me, these are perfect when the weather is just starting to get cold. When it's very cold, these are not thick enough to keep me warm under a pair of jeans. But again, when it's 7-10 degrees cold, these are perfect. Tops: The top is also comfortable and form fitting, but it comes up so high near my collar that it's always visible under whatever long sleeve shirt I'm wearing, which I don't like. I don't like the idea of this black undergarment popping up an inch above whatever long sleeve shirt I'm wearing. Therefore I haven't been wearing the top at all other than just around the house when I'd like a little extra warmth while watching TV or reading. If I had to do it all over again I would have purchased just the bottoms. If you don't mind the undergarment popping about an inch above your shirt, I would assume that it's also a great fit for somebody when the weather is 7-10 degrees below comfortable temperature.

Comfy, warm, and better than long johns
These are so comfortable that I wear them inside the home under my sweatpants.. Nice high waste, but not too high. Super soft and comfortable but will last.. I bought two pair a few years ago and still have them. I even bought the heavyweight ones too. Now my old style waffle long johns are getting closer to the trash bin. As for warmth, I'd say that these lightweight ones are like your average long johns.. The heavy weight ones are thicker and better for down to zero (if under jeans).

Come At Me Winter
I've been a fan of David Archy since the first pair of briefs I tried on. Since then I've purchased and still wear their boxers, undershirts and now these thermal pants. As with all of their undergarments, David Archy has taken into account areas I feel are often missed by other manufacturers. For example, in the back a seam is sewn around the glute area so the back essentially 'cups' you instead of a seam splitting right down the middle of your 'cheeks'. For men, there is enough room up front so that you won't be compacted in, while the bottoms are still able to maintain a cozy, form fitting closeness that makes these so warm in the winter. It's still pretty hot where I live and I've only worn these around the house so far. I've noticed the fabric moves pretty well. When I bend over or sit down the legs do ride up a little bit, but return back to normal when I stand up. One thing I've noticed other reviews mention is the size runs small. I did not have this experience. The size I ordered is the size I always order and, like my other David Archy purchases, the fit is true. I'm anxiously awaiting the first crisp day of Autumn to enjoy all it has to offer while being wrapped in a cozy warmth.

Shiver me timbers-NOT
Nice fabric. The medium underwear is a touch smaller than I expected it to be, but it still does a good job on those cold windy mornings

Comfortable, soft, keeps legs warm
These long johns are made of soft material that feels good on the skin. Keeps legs warm inside dress pants even with winds. I also like that it is snug on the ankles, could roll your socks over it for added warmth. I just placed a second order.

Modal in these thermals--it's oh so soft!
The thermals I'm writing this review on contain 40% Modal in the garment (spend a couple of minutes to look it up on the Internet if you don't know what Modal is). There are some other thermals from the same company that are comprised of different materials but look the same in the product picture. I'm sure they are all good too, but these thermals with the Modal were exquisitely soft, warm, and so cozy. That's about all I can say for now, just get a set and see what I mean, you'll be glad you did! Stuff somebody's stocking and wait for the "Thank You". Edit: February 04, 2024--After having worn/washed these for a couple of months now I ordered two more sets today--they're that warm and comfortable and are my favorite warm under garments! Worth every penny!

They fit great but look small
These ultra thin thermals were great insulators during the last bout of sub zero days wash and dry on low well. True to size and super comfy fabric. These are not your old fashioned thermals more designed as ski thermals but the stretch to fit without bulk.

Great cut and fit to these David Archy Thermal Bottoms
I really like the fabric used, cut, and seam location on these. Most thermal underwear have thick seams in all the wrong places and the fabric isn't soft like these David Archy's. The seams cup under your butt and come around the package in the front for men with a snug fit to keep warm without actually being compressed. This is normally not executed well by most thermal underwear, they're either way to loose or much too tight. These DA's have hit the Goldilocks fit for thermal underwear really well. According to my wife they also fit women just as well since she has taken over one pair for herself after she tried them out of curiosity. The bottom cuffs are nice and snug. I was on the fence between 4 and 5 stars because the waist band not holding as tight as I'd personally like for thermal underwear. I don't have this issue with any of my DA trunk underwear in the same size which seem to use a different waistband material. Don't get me wrong, these stay up without issue but have some migration in the waist for me. Maybe it's just the pair I got YMMV. But this is a small gripe overall with everything else being an upgrade to my thermal underwear experience I'm going with 5 stars.
