Great all-around cordless drill.
A solid, reliable drill that handles almost every basic DIY job with ease. It has plenty of power, good battery life, and feels comfortable to use. If you only want one cordless drill for most household projects, this is an excellent choice.

Dewalt battery tools
i use these dewalt battery tools alot . (I was one of those hold outs used my craftsman electric until about a year ago ) I would have to say smartest move for me ,switching to these 5.0 battery operated drills . 105.00 for a nice drill 2 start up 2 xr batteries, charger and a carry bag. (suggest you buy a 5.0 last much longer.) for the jobs i do around the house it works very well and i do not have to hunt for or trip over a cord.

Good power for the price
Great drill. Charged it up and drilled 6 1/4 inch holes into steel plate. Plenty of power and used only one of the batteries that only lost 25 power. Look forward to using this tool.

Excellent cordless drill set for a woman who wants to do her own minor home projects without asking for help! Easy to use and smooth operation. Versatile in switching between screwing or drilling. Heavy enough impact to do everything I’ve asked it to. Two batteries and a charger included. Cute and convenient carrying case! Want to hang pictures? Drill some holes? No problem!

Fantastic Drill/Driver with Plenty of Power and Great Battery Life
This is pound for pound the best drill/driver I have ever owned. It is hard to go wrong with Dewalt tools and this is no exception. There are so many things I like about it I am going to make a pros/cons list. PROS: - Lightweight. It is fairly small and much lighter than all of my previous cordless drills I have ever owned. The Li-ION battery is much lighter than my previous Ni-CAD batteries. - Even though it is lightweight, it has A LOT of torque and power. - The battery life is great. This set also comes with two batteries making it easy to switch out and essentially ensuring you always have battery to finish the job. The batteries also seem to hold a charge very well when they are just sitting around, not in use, which is nice that when I need the drill, I don't have to wait an hour for a battery to charge. I just plug it in and off we go. See note below about handling of batteries. - Along the same lines, charging time is low. Around an hour for a full charge in my case. - The carrying case wasn't a selling point for me, but it is a nice way to store the set. - This is the first cordless drill I have used that has a light and I didn't realize what I was missing out on until now. I also like that it will stay on about 10 seconds after I release the button, which is especially nice when I want to see if I set the screw correctly in low light. - The 20V is a nice addition and adds more oomph than I expected as I have always used 18V batteries in the past. - Cost. I only paid $99 for it when it was on sale, which is quite a deal ($30 off of Amazon, Home Depot, and Lowes current price). - Build. It feels solid and strong, not made up of cheap plastic parts. Cons: - Definitely not a contractor level drill, which is no bother to me because I only use it for around the house projects. Not necessarily a con, but should be noted. - The chuck. How it works is that you insert the bit, turn the chuck until it clicks and the bit is supposed to be locked in. For whatever reason (and maybe I got a lemon), my chuck doesn't seem to hold bits very well. They often come loose when I am backing them out. I have tried backing out in both "forward" and "reverse" and had the same results either way. There is no way to tighten the chuck any tighter because it just clicks, telling you the bit is "locked-in." This could be user error, but I don't think so. It is also made of plastic, one area they probably cut corners to save on cost. Side note: As soon as your battery starts to die, do not try to stretch it out. Running the battery down to nothing diminishes the life of the battery. Your batteries should also be stored near room temperature but never below 60 degrees F or above 80 degrees F, especially when charging. While buying new batteries is possible, why do that when you can just take good care of the ones you have? Especially when they are so expensive. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this drill. It is a definite upgrade and if you can wait to snag it at the $99 price tag, it is a definite must for any home DIY'er.

A really nice drill, but somebody else opened this product.
It just came, AND...it was an opened box. Shame on you amazon. Why is it that the majority of the tools I order are open boxes rather than a Factory6 Sealed box? I am waiting for a battery to charge to see if the thing works properly, so it will be a few minutes.....OK, batter charged. It runs, speed change works, no discernable runout, so atleast there seems to be nothing wrong with it. So I will give this five stars. However, Amazon, you get 0 stars. I really don't lke the uncertainty there is when the box is not sealed, I will have no idea if there is something wrong with it.

This drilling driver truly was the answer to all my drilling problems around the house and finishing off my basement, and many side projects that I'm continuously doing. I'm happy with the charging of the batteries I'm glad there's two of them the drill works great I've never had a problem with it and it seems powerful enough to do most jobs.

Dewalt = Quality
Dewalt = Quality This is something I've learned through years of many purchases of cheap alternatives that inevitably break. I'm sure there are others in this weight-class (hear good things about Milwaukee), but Dewalt is still the stamp of quality it always has been
