Japanese Beetle Armageddon
These work great, and will dramatically reduce the number of Japanese beetles on your property, just make sure to use them correctly. This is my second year using them. Previous years we had tons of beetles, last year I put 4 of these traps (10 acres) near the corners of my property and filled up each bag twice over. This year we have substantially less, and the traps are keeping them off our gardens. The bags are big enough to catch a lot of beetles, but small enough you can place them anywhere. - don't put them near plants, otherwise they'll take collateral damage - some birds will try to get to the beetles inside the bag, which can break the bag, spilling the beetles out. just keep an eye out - the lure will last 10+ weeks, and you can decimate beetle populations in just a few seasons so imo it's a fantastic value - if you get the Spectracide metal crook hanger, use tape to fasten the pieces together so it doesn't come apart in the wind - speaking of wind, it can turn the bag over, spilling the beetles out and sending the lure flying - empty it regularly, the beetles get heavy and it can pull the bag off the hanger

Top notch products
I saw ONE Japanese beetle in my garden so, as is my habit, out come my Spectracide traps. In three days, there were DOZENS in the traps. Along comes a storm and both traps blew over, one took about a 25โ walk. I set both back up on their Spectracide (donโt use any other brand, folks) stands and had to change out the bag in another day. Keep up the good work!

Works great. Expensive.
These work great, the key is to use them consistently for a few years. For us, the first year, we trapped a ton. Second year, maybe 1/4 as many. Third and higher years, now we only catch a dozen or so, I guess stragglers from some other location. We live on about 1 acre and used 3 traps. These work great, but are expensive for what they are. I hope someone can come up with a cheaper version that works as well.

Bag-O-Bugs by season end.
The annual battle with the Japanese beetles and my roses has taught me what works and what doesn't. For the last two years, I've used the Spectracide Bag-A-Bug Beetle trap and it works! By the end of the season, the traps have captured/lured hundreds of the bugs. I try and keep extra lures on hand to keep it fresh and attractive to bugs. If you have problems with the Japanese Beetles, try this product.

Really works!
I used a Japanese beetle trap from a different company I bought years ago. Put this lure in the trap, and caught about 50 beetles the first day. Other insects don't seem to be interested. These beetles are an invasive, non-native species. The lure is non-toxic, and the beetles don't eat it, so safe to feed the beetles to your chickens or other critters. It's a scent lure, it smells a bit like citronella. you could use it on a porch or close to the house. I hang mine right in the middle of the yard.
