I Have a 3p laser and always 12v and laser turned on. What may i do?

Hi Lecchi Giovanni, Please don't worry, we will try our best to help you. The grbl board is powered by 12 volts, switch the jumper in the middle of the board, switch to the LSR side, and then the software connects the board to open or turn off the laser.

I am not able to move any axis. There is a small noise when I press home and motors get stuck but no move..

I assume i have to set jumpers to lsr and xyy for using as a laser engraver only with no z axis?

Hi Rick, XYY,XYZ We choose according to the machine. XYY is two 4988 drive Y stepper motors, Y2 uses Z axis drive. It is necessary to use laser LSR.

Better Quality Than Photos Suggest, Great Board

This board is surprisingly nicely made; far better than the photos would suggest. It was easy to flash the latest version of GRBL onto the board with the Arduino IDE using the standard GRBL instructions. It appears to be plug-and-play compatible with my NEJE laser module with a slight cable tweak; just removing the temperature sensor pin so the 4-pin laser can be used with the 3-pin board header. I did swap the axis around in cpu_map.h to allow the dual stepper output on the Y axis to be used with the Z axis instead, which works perfectly with my custom gantry design. The direction of the duplicated output is reversed, which makes sense for this configuration and means you won't have to modify your stepper cable. I replaced the stepper driver boards with ones rated for higher current; but those supplied seemed to function just fine. The supplied USB cable seems to be exceptionally high quality, which was unexpected. I can't fault it; this is a great board.

received very quickly worked straight away, just had to reverse Y axis $3=2 after that engraved a project and came out great, only thing I cant seam to find any diagram on how to connect axis limit switches any one out there that can help would be much appreciated JW
