I've used this primer for full face makeup occasions and it hasn't let me down! As long as I've hydrated/moisturized my face ahead of time (and let that set) before applying, this thing works like a dream. It will hold that makeup on like its existence depends on it. I've got acne prone/sensitive skin and though everyones skin is different, this product has not caused me any breakouts. It's been tested through multiple weddings with much sweat involved from dancing. Pretty happy with this.

Great choice for under makeup primer. Note: Used & loved as an under makeup primer. Sticking with smashbox for when I want to wear primer without makeup. After applying the serum, I gave it a couple of minutes to set. I then use liquid foundation mixed with a tad bit of moisturizer, applied with my fingers & then finished with a foundation brush. Added in powder contour & stick blush. It gave my entire makeup routine 100% better staying power! 8 hours after applying, I sprayed my face with a hydrating primer water and kept on going. Everything was still fresh looking by the end of the evening! I have slight creases and this serum kept my makeup in place & from sliding into crease lines. It's really easy to apply using the dropper & then just rubbing it in. You don't need alot, 1/2 of a dropper did it for me. I definitely think that it's worth a try if you are looking for something affordable that will help your makeup last for extended lengths of time.

I've used Milk and Elf's primer and this ranks up there with them. I love a grippy primer that helps my makeup last all day long and this does everything I need it to at a great price and I love that it is a serum. I just bought Milk hydrogrip, but still use this daily since it's just a great value and will reserve my Milk for special occasions.

Nice, budget friendly primer. Layers well with other skincare products and under makeup without pilling or leaving make up looking cakey. Doesn’t do much in terms of a lasting dewy look but it is a nice formula that isn’t sticky and absorbs into the skin well.

The Maybelline Grippy Serum is easily a five-star product for me. It feels lightweight and hydrating, absorbs quickly, and leaves the perfect tacky finish to help my makeup stay in place all day. I was a little hesitant about this product at first, but I ended up liking it a lot. Its texture is a bit viscous, but surprisingly, it's not sticky. It helps the foundation adhere to the skin and last longer, it doesn't irritate the skin, and it doesn't leave a greasy feeling. It's excellent.

The Maybelline Fit Me Primer (Gripping) does exactly what it promises. It creates a tacky, "grippy" base that locks foundation in place all day and smooths out skin texture. It’s an excellent budget-friendly alternative to high-end gripping primers. The only downside is a noticeable chemical-like smell upon application. It eventually fades once your makeup is set, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to scents. Overall, it's a high-performing product for a great price.

The Maybelline Grippy Serum Primer is seriously underrated. I don’t know why more people aren’t talking about it—I love it. I apply my moisturizer first, then this primer, and let it dry down. I kid you not, some of my best makeup looks have been because of this product. It grips so well, and it’s very affordable—actually cheaper than the e.l.f. Grippy Primer. Maybe it’s flying under the radar, but it shouldn’t be. You need to buy this.
