An excellent choice and essential for families today
We've had our TickTalk 5 for just under a year and it has become an essential part of our family's "communication plan", keeping us in touch when and where we need to. This has been particularly important as our child increasingly desires to have more independence and the ability to range about our neighborhood. The TickTalk gives us the peace of mind we need in knowing where he is (through reliable tracking) and knowing that he has the ability to stay in touch with us whenever needed. In this way, the TickTalk also serves as our child's introduction to the "digital lifestyle" that we are all living now. Battery life between charges is good and the watch is quite durable. Setup of the watch and the parent app was incredibly easy. Customer service is top tier, with the couple of questions that we had answered immediately (by a human, no less!). If you've got an energetic kid like mine (and you probably do), I would encourage you to purchase the extended warranty, it's not that much $$ and it is so worth it. The one time we needed service, thanks to a bad fall, TickTalk honored the warranty promptly. The fact that TickTalk offers this option is fantastic and says a lot about how they stand behind their product.

We got the TickTalk5 smartwatch for our child who has Down syndrome, and it has been one of the best purchases we’ve made. Koda absolutely loves it.What stands out most is how easy it is for them to use. The big, clear buttons and simple interface make it much less frustrating than a regular phone or more complicated smartwatch. They can answer calls, send quick messages, and check the time without needing constant help. That independence means a lot.The safety features give us real peace of mind. Location tracking, the SOS button, and the ability to control who they can contact have been huge. We know where they are and can reach them (or he can reach us) when needed. For a kid who sometimes wanders or needs a little extra support, that reliability is invaluable.He also just genuinely enjoys wearing it. The watch feels like “His Dick Tracy” device, and he takes pride in using it. It’s durable enough to handle daily life, and the battery lasts through a full day of classes and activities.If you’re looking for a smartwatch that balances fun with real safety and accessibility for a child with special needs, the TickTalk has been a great fit for our family. Highly recommend.

Use to love it!
Update: i am changing this review to one star, after experiencing it for more than a month. The product works as does it job. But i question its design and sturdiness for kids. The sim tray cant keep the sim inplace, so when i really need the product to work, i cant reach my kid. His watch would be displaying “no sim”. I will have to unscrew the cap and remove and replace the sim followed by a reboot. Crap!Customer service is way to irresponsive. Have to wait for days for a response.———We choose this product after trying out the verizon gizmo. So far this watch is far superior. My son love it and i am now connected with him whenever i want!
