These are awesome! They taste like beef and fresh food! I made backpacking meals with them and it worked great.

Purchased 9 months ago and finally used today. I was prepared to be a little disappointed with this product, or only neutral about it. Shelf stable meat is very difficult to achieve a good taste and texture. Canned ground beef, IMO, is like dogfood, and dried ground beef crumbles are like cardboard crumbs. This product is TRULY fantastic, and I’m a tough critic! Soaked 2 bricks in tap water for 10-15 min. Water actually becomes blood tinged like fresh meat. Broke up bricks with 2 forks and browned with a little oil and onions, then added to chili. Smelled exactly like fresh when frying. I’m frankly astonished at the result— to the tooth the chunks eat, taste, and have mouth feel just as fresh ground beef! Husband said he would never have detected the difference if he didn’t know I was using the freeze dried. I don’t know how the taste/ texture would be for hamburgers on the grill or skillet, but in a stew or soup this is the best shelf stable meat product I’ve ever tried. It’s expensive, but not break the bank. I wish each 1/2 pound equivalent brick was separately packaged so you don’t have to open all 4 at once. Package says use the remaining bricks within 2 weeks. This is a perfect product for RVing, backpacking, cabins, and survival/ prepper use! You will not be disappointed!

Love love love this raw freeze dried ground beef. It is perfect for making Pemmican. Tastes great and breaks up easily to go into my very small food processor. Well worth the purchase ( I am a repeat offender on that )!

Great way to keep meat in the pantry indefinitely, does not required refridgeration or freezin. We wanted to try it out first, we did enjoy it & will be purchasing more. Great for emergency food, camping etc.

Variety is good to have in case of a disaster or a camping trip. Package is lite and not to bulky and packs well. You can feed 4 to 6 people depending on what you make.
