I ordered the Fresh Sweet Tamarind (16 oz) out of pure nostalgia—used to eat these all the time growing up—and this batch did not disappoint. The tamarind pods arrived well-packaged and fresh, with the outer shells mostly intact and easy to crack open. The fruit inside was soft, dark, and sticky—just how it should be—with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. No weird dryness or sour aftertaste like you sometimes get with low-quality tamarind. I ended up snacking on a bunch straight out of the box, but it also worked great in tamarind chutney and added a rich depth to a stew I made. You get a solid portion for the price too. If you love real, fresh tamarind with that sweet-sour punch, this is definitely worth grabbing. I’ll be ordering another bag soon.
