Product Failure and no refund.
Initially I was happy with this but then the black function button went stiff and is now almost impossible to operate, the return window was too short so I can't get a refund or a replacement torch, I am extremely disappointed and feel let down by the seller, at least on eBay I have more chance to speak to th seller but on here it's very difficult, not at all happy!

Sehr gute Taschenlampe, viele verschiedene Modi. Was sich wahrscheinlich ich und viele andere Nutzer wunschen ist das durchscrollen ohne dass die lampe sich einschaltet. Ansonsten Top, Am besten gleich nen Akku zubestellen

What I like: 1. good settings and options 2. Great variety of options with the LED. 3. Physical lockout system. 4. Improved manual. 5. The light focus is a huge improvement from IF23. 6. The police light is a good touch. Sounds great but don't work in practice: 1. The physical dial is not very secure and switches inside a bag or pocket. Please add a notch so turning the dial has some resistance. 2. Having the light turn on when you switch the dial- very very bad idea. Please change immediately! I mean it it will change in your bag and suddenly you find you don't have battery power, or you've now woken someone up trying to get to red light. Common guys this is a flunk but it can be fixed. Just make sure the light stays off when switching. Add a lowlight led to the dial to see what mode your in. Massive fix at little to no cost. 3. The charge light is really bright when you turn the flashlight on, yes it goes away and is placed to the side(better than the IF23) yet if you are in need of the light you will notice how you may get blinded by the green light. 4. Please add a physical difference between the 4 sides of the dial, a grove unique to each side would work. This will allow someone to identify the dial mode/rotation in the dark without needing illumination. Reason the IF23 is better: 1. Access all settings with a single button. 2. Water resistant. 3. Battery capacity. 4. 2 way charging. May this information guide your purchase.

This flashlight has proven to be super useful. Normally multi-beam flashlights like this aren't my thing but, this one has won me over and is a daily companion! The rotary switch on it makes accessing the different lights super easily and simplifies the selection process, especially compared to similar lights from other manufacturers. Sofirn has implemented a great User Interface on this flashlight. The while LEDs on the side of the flashlight are great for lighting up a large room during a power outage or similar event where you want to flood a large area with light. The RGB leds on the size are great for mood lighting, accent lighting, or used outdoors set to RED so you don't attract bugs! The white LED on the end of the flashlight is a good midrange option that will throw a reasonable distance and has a reasonable spread of the flood. The last "feature" that is really noteworthy is the size and weight. Normally I carry an AA flashlight on a neck lanyard but, this flashlight has replaced it. On a neck lanyard, I don't find the minor weight increase to be a problem. The size is only slightly larger in diameter and it is a little longer while still being close to my AA flashlight. Seriously, I carry it on a neck lanyard most days and find it super hand to use the light on the end to peer into a dark corner or use the side Leds when looking into a dark drawer or closet. Overall, a real gem of a flashlight!

Great little flashlight. It's plenty bright, and the ability to adjust the brightness is awesome. The RGB LEDs are cool, and I don't really have a use for it, but they're fun. The magnetic base is awesome. If I'm working on building inside of a PC, I can just stick it to the side of the base and it stays in place. If I'm doing some duct work, it sticks to the side of the ducts. This is my first flashlight with lights on the side instead of just at the end like a normal flashlight. I don't know how I could go back to a traditional flashlight now. I use the side-lights more than the front light. The light-type selector is very nifty. At first I thought I would like a traditional toggle-button more, but this light has converted me to the spinner-type selector. There's a web of instructions that makes the button and spinner seem complicated, but once you try it out, it's pretty intuitive. The build quality feels high, and it in no way feels like the manufacturer cheaped out on anything. I'm a little worried the finish would get scratched up over time, but it I don't really know of any finish that wouldn't. I haven't used it enough to drain the battery but I've been a couple of hours of drain on the battery and the indicator light hasn't changed from being green yet. I would recommend this flashlight, and I even bought a second one for a bundle of stuff I was gifting to a couple as a wedding present. Even if you have enough light in your life, maybe somebody you know could use a flashlight like this.

Final update: the new light arrived after months, but the sender was willing to make sure I got it despite MANY postal carrier issues. The light works as intended now, and it does carry better than the IF23. Check out the pics, you'll see the differences between the older faulty model I had and the current one with a good switch. Use that to guide your purchases. Old edit: the retailer stated they'd send a replacement, and that package was supposedly sent out 71 days ago as of December 27. Still nothing has arrived, and I haven't been able to come up with a way to repair the busted switch on the first one. Stay away until they perfect the design. Delivered July 22nd, switch loosening by early September, and button stopped altogether by October 5th. I bought this light because I was happy with the several other Sofirn's I've purchased-- the numbering system is hard to remember, but I've got a C8L (great thrower), SC33 (chunky for EDC, but good area light with runtime), SC13 (EDC carry size), IF23 (multifunction light I use at work and still runs reliably to this day), and this disappointment of a replacement for the IF23. The great-- well, it's nice when it works. The beam is more spot than the IF23, so you get a true usable profile with it. It also carries smaller than the IF23-- even though it's longer-- thanks to lower weight and slimmer profile. They also dispensed with the two-way pocket clip that could get snagged on the draw, depending it you had it on a MOLLE grid or similar setup. Also, the rotating switch meant no need to memorize the number of clicks for each function. The not-so-great-- THE SWITCH. Specifically the rotating mode selector ring. First, you can't feel a difference between the modes. No biggie, a dab of JB Weld on the OFF position remedied that. Than, I noticed it started losing the detent grab, sometimes rotating while on my belt simply from my shirt brushing against it. Then it started to loosen further, and there was no way to tighten it down. Also, it's a magnetic switch, so any magnets close to it will activate random modes. Now this morning the button has ceased to function at all. It remembers the last setting, so I'm stuck with that, but no ramping brightness or changing colors. Also, it uses the more common 18650 cells, which is good and bad depending on if you want lighter weight or better runtime. You also lose the ability to run the light as a battery bank to charge your phone, which came in handy a few times with the IF23. Finally, Sofirn in general has weaker magnets in their tail caps. It makes it harder for longer lights like the IF23 & IF24 to stick at certain angles. Wuben has a pretty strong magnet in their X-0, for example, and I know that it's a smaller light, but Sofirn's SC13 grip doesn't compare and they're the same size. In summery, it was nice when it worked-- and when it did, you still had the switch tactile issues. If they made the detent stronger and had a working button, it would be a decent large EDC light-- until then, stay away.
