I bought these to use for our Summer Reading assignments as a homeschooling mother to an Autistic 13 year old son. He has a hard time getting easily distracted from what he's reading and I found he was filling in the stories with his own assumptions of what was happening instead of referring back to the texts when the time came to recount details from the stories. These are wonderful, simple tools that have been amazingly beneficial to his reading comprehension progress and he now asks for them when he has an assignment to complete. I noticed that he will also reach for them and read for pleasure, whereas this used to not be the case at all! I have tried everything from expensive iOS applications to reward charts and incentives to get him to stay on task and further his comprehension of texts when reading. These simple rulers are easy to use, require no chargers or batteries, and have been the most beneficial tool for him that I've found since he first started reading in elementary school. I wish I had found them sooner! Shipping was fast (of course), and they are extremely durable and well-made. We are getting ready to begin a new school year in the Fall and I have no doubts these will be utilized daily in just about every subject to keep him focused and on task!

My children love these and enjoy reading with them , they love the color options and cannot get enough of how they can use them as a book mark. I personally love how they can be used as a book mark as well it is convenient. The words are clear and the functionality and size of this product is perfect for its description.

This really helps dyslexic readers. Try different colors to see which works best.

Fascinating product. There’s clearly ones that make it easier for my eyes, which are totally different than the ones that my dyslexic kiddo chose. Story time was less of struggle and she was clearly less worn out after using it. I was in tears. Her fluency and pace increased so much she actually comprehended what she just read *as.she.read.it* instead of my needing to re-read it back to her for comprehension. However, it makes it harder for me to read, which is fair given that this whole time she’s been struggling more than me/others. 🙃 They are a bit clumsy to use laying down at night and reading, lots of slipping and rearranging for picture books with text all over the place. Helped with some homeschool printouts/math worksheets that we could not convert to OpenDyslexic font. The plastic has gotten a bit scuffed up after light use, and while the whole set made for a great experiment, the rest of the set are sitting unused. I would still say they were/are worth it.

I really adore these! I use them as book marks as well as readers. Bright but not so bright in the eyes that it is off-putting, these are fantastic when it comes to reading my textbooks. Sometimes my textbooks are too wordy/have to many paragraphs that I actually read the same lines over again and these really help to guide my vision regarding the lines! Also! I like that I can see what I have previously read whether I read with the line on the or bottom part of the readers. I prefer to read with the line at the bottom so I can see what I just read and can review easily! I have used other readers where you only get enough room for 1 line and the line before and after the reader space is blocked off and honestly I prefer these. This is because, personally, when I read with the centered type readers, I'll forgot what I just read. I would definitely buy more of these They are useful and the seller is awesome!

I have a young son who I just starting to learn to read and write. These rulers were an easy, fun, and effective way to help him focus on each line one at a time. The colored rulers also made him more interested in reading. It allows you to interactively teach your child to focus on each word and to read deliberately. He gets excited and sometimes starts speeding through the words. This helps him read each word one by one and take time to pronounce each word properly. The plastic is durable and it comes with 10 rulers, all in different colors. The package has easy to understand directions with pictures, and the rules are easy to get out of the package without damaging the directions. The shipping was really fast.

Colors were not like those portrayed in ad and sheets were rather heavy for use in the classroom.

I purchased these overlays for my readers with Irlen Syndrome and have found the quality to be excellent. The only suggestion I have for the company is to give clearer instructions for those of us who purchased the full-page overlays. I read that the smaller reading guides had a thin film of protective plastic which needed to be removed before usage. However, no such instruction was given for the full sheets; I assumed that they might have a similar layer which should be removed. No matter how I tried to remove a "thin sheet of protective plastic" off of the full-sized overlays, I could not find one, so I concluded that they didn't come with one. (Why not--are they unnecessary for the full sheets?) Also, the full sheets have a shiny side and a matte side. I am assuming that the matte side is the side facing the reader, as the shiny side creates glare. Again, these instructional details added to the comments from the manufacturer will take the guess work out for the consumer. Thank you for a high quality product at a very reasonable price!

Delusa da questo kit. Insegno matematica e scienze e spesso mi capita di costruire dei righelli ovvero delle mascherine in cartoncino per aiutare i miei alunni dislessici o con difficoltà di concentrazione per consentire loro di non saltare il rigo o di guidarli nella lettura di un'espressione, inquadrando così solo il rigo interessato e isolando il resto, della pagina. Ebbene, credevo che questo set contenesse tali righelli o mascherine e invece contiene semplicemente dei fogli in plastica in 10 colori differenti che dovrebbe aiutare nella lettura. Le copertine sono ben fatte e sono spesse e con foglio plastificato da rimuovere risultando molto versatili ma per esperienza, avrei gradito fossero corredate di tali mascherine. Pertanto le reputo poco utili e il set incompleto oltreché caro. In compenso utilizzerò i fogli per costruire dei righelli fai da me in plastica anziché di cartoncino ritagliandosi con delle forbici. 3 stelle solo per il materiale.
