These brushes are a bit pricier than others but are worth it! And after all of the money I threw away on cheaper ones I wish I’d gotten this first. For larger colour fills and daubing in colours for watercolour less pricier ones are still ok but for fine lines and details one really needs to drop a few quid. This #2 is an absolute game changer. It holds a tack sharp point yes with a touch of pressure moves out as you like. I recommend trying it out to get the feel. It holds water and paint wonderfully and makes a longer line than you might expect. Can’t say enough except if you really want to feel and see how to get great line and detail for yourself just get one!

I love to use these brushes for my watercolours - especially if I'm going for a more detailed, controlled approach. The handle is very nice to hold, and the brush in general feels sturdy and well constructed. In use, the synthetic bristles are well trimmed and hold there shape well. The firmness of the brush means it will keep it's shape well through the painting stroke, and spring back instantly once lifted from the surface. This allows for so much control on the paper, especially when painting things like botanicals (or anything where you want fine control) If I want a looser approach I'll use the Princeton Neptune brushes which are much softer and react more like natural sable.

My favorite paint brushes! I use them for my paint by number. they are good for fine detail and last a long time.

This is a great brush. It has a wonderful spring in it. The bristles are very nice. First class and the paint goes on really nice and smooth easy to clean. It’s well made.
